It's been almost two weeks now and I think it's fair to say Trump was the winner of the debate. His performance has all but locked up NC, GA and AZ. All three states have gone hard Trump in the latest polls. Comes down to PA, but solidifying his leads in NC, GA and AZ post-debate makes his path much easier.
Lol! You mean flailing? Desperately reaching for a twig, or anything to grasp to avoid fading away? ...and CNN? LMAO!
It's like the last 3.5 years didn't happen with yall. Lol! "... unburdened by the past..." Riiiiiiiiighhhhhhttttt.... GLWT.
They had one debate and he looked like a fool. She is giving him a chance to look like a fool again. He is smart not to debate. He'd get railed again.
You are funny. Trumps "sugar" last week: I have the concept of a healthcare plan No tax on tips! Tariffs to pay for childcare! Sovereign Wealth Fund! Lower your energy bills in half Lower your food prices in half Double or triple the natural gas production
Wasn't a debate, it was an ambush. She wants to sit n look pretty again, while he gets cross examined again. Hence.... CNN, ie Chicom (puppet party) News Network. Let's see sKamala take off her training bra, put on a mama bra, and dare field real questions on Fox. Not cupcakes on Oprah, or srved up by her sorority sister ...(Lol!) #sororitycheercaptain! "Like totally! Fur shur!"
It's hard to keep up with all of these but I believe you're missing: Cut your auto insurance in half No tax on Social Security income
I guess it was an ambush. It wasn't fair pitting a cognitively diminished senior citizen who prefers to speak extemporaneously with little or no preparation against a skilled former prosecutor who spent many hours preparing for the debate.
Not sure that I believe this but if Halperin is hearing this from Republicans, you know Trump is. Trump loves to believe the best case scenario for himself and likely sees no point in debating Harris again if he thinks this race is over. Also would explain the lack of GOTV efforts for the Trump campaign in swing states.
I don't have the data from any other other swing states, but based on new voter registration numbers in Pennsylvania, Trump's GOTV effort is quite good. They are doubling new Democrat registrations there. I'm not sure what you're looking at which suggests his GOTV efforts are non-existent? And not sure which other metric you would use to make that determination. You can't rely on the media to report it, that's for damn sure.
The Trump Campaign outsourced their GOTV effort and they are not spending same level of campaign money on it that they had in the past. They are leaving it up to third parties to do it for them. Also listened to a podcast where LaCavitia talked about Trump telling him to focus on the court battles and leave the GOTV to him. If the campaign is not running the GOTV effort, you do not have the same level of coordination on tracking to ensure registered voters have voted and then spend time and effort on lower propensity voters. Having a very coordinated GOTV effort is why Obama was able to win big in the EC even though the polls was close at the national and swing state levels. https://www.politico.com/news/2024/09/30/republicans-alarm-trump-ground-game-00181577 https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4895301-trump-campaign-gop-ground-game/ The Trump campaign's big bet on a new GOTV strategy worries some Republicans
Trump is always "worrying Republicans" according to the media. I don't know what else you would look at beyond new voter registrants to really know how effective the GOTV effort is. If PA is any indicator (likely the crown jewel of states to win this cycle), his GOTV efforts are quite effective. Trump is a guy who outsourced intelligence during his 1st term. Of course, the media elites jump all over that with the OMG bs. But (as you may well know), you can get quite a bit accomplished with private intelligence companies. It's not necessarily a negative that he's using 3rd parties to help with GOTV. If those 3rd parties fail him, nary a chance they'll ever pick up a noteworthy contract again from a campaign on either side. They have a lot of incentive to perform.
Ever done an campaign volunteering? The first thing you do is make sure that your registered voters have voted. Do not mistake getting voters registered with actually banking votes. Ensuring you have banked a vote is typically something the campaign wants to be in charge of because it is how you track your performance and know if you are actually going to win. We are starting to get numbers of ballots requested in certain states and that is a much better metric to follow than registrations. Trump did not outsource his intel during his first term. I'm not sure where you picked up that idea but it is not accurate. You think a private intel company told JSOC where al-Baghdadi was hiding?
Trump did not completely ignore or disband the CIA, but he did privatize some intel gathering with 3rd party intel firms. His lack of faith in the CIA being well documented. We can delve into that in another thread. Note: I never claimed he completely ignored the CIA, nor did I claim that new voter registrations equal votes. But one would presume that if his GOTV ops are good enough to double Democrat registrations in a traditionally blue state like PA, that same GOTV operation probably plans on following up on those registrations. In fact, it's rather dubious to presume they wouldn't. What is the purpose of a robust registration drive if you're not going to follow up to harvest the votes? That seems like a really strange argument to make to critique Trump's GOTV efforts.
