We will see in two weeks, if we loss we will probably not win another game until 2025.

If we win, the slow death by false hope promises will continue.

UCF is beatable. They will run up the middle and score on our defense, no doubt. We will have to counter by scoring on most every possession, and, bring a full stadium (of orange and blue). A Gator win would have to look something like 42-41. Will be tough, but, not impossible. We need to beat UCF and fsu.

UCF is currently ranked #36 in the AP poll. Good chance they'll be Top 25 if they beat Colorado next week. Definitely a game I'll be watching.

They will definitely have success against our trash defense, but they haven't exactly put those numbers up against good defenses. Their only decent opponent just gave up over 200 rushing yards to SMU. The same SMU that barely got 100 yards on Nevada and BYU. You can't really take anything at all from UCF's successes so far

The biggest concern I have with UCF is they have a coach that knows how to exploit weaknesses

KY gave Georgia all they could handle. I think ucf has their way with our defense. Big mobile qb and a great rb, spells a long day. Could see us stealing one somewhere and then beating FSU. Luckily we have a bye to enjoy.

UK shot their shot at home that night and Beck played bad. Those games happen. We beat Utah and thought we were something. While I do think UK is a better team, we still have a chance. Against the top half of the SEC probably not, but I bet one of those games are going to be closer than expected.

But we will find out in two weeks.

Saw on Saturday that the TCU team UcF ran all over gave up 66 points to SMU. So TCU defense is pretty bad. Of,course, ours is horrible as well but remains to be seen on competition level for UcF run game.

The best statistical defense UCF has played was Sam Houston St. Let that sink in for a bit.

Way too early to make projections based on who the other teams played. UCF is a P4 program that is 3-0, and I seriously doubt they are intimidated by the current Gators. Fortunately, we have two weeks to prepare. I trust the staff to have the boys fully prepared and motivated...:D

This, or at least it seemed like this. We've known for years that UCF was growing like crazy, but we always had that cocky disdain for "the commuter school, Oveido Community College, UF wannabees." There is a lot of money in Orlando, and they have a billion alums. With The Portal and NIL, they are going to pick up talent, and as all know, any coach that doesn't closely connect with the high school coaches in Florida are going to pay for it. Back in the 1990s and 2000s, we laughed and sneered at the likes of UCF.

    No more...

FWIW, TCU sucks too. They gave up 66 points to SMU and only 35 to UCF in a 35-34 loss

TCU threw for 400 yards against UCF.

UCF 35-34 TCU (Sep 14, 2024) Box Score - ESPN

I'm thinking Colorado is going to throw the ball all over the place on UCF but will lose because they can't stop the run.

Dear Billy, please consider going to an up tempo passing attack against UCF.

As I recall, triple option teams do the most damage outside, so our big-bottom boys have to plug up the middle and force it outside. We might consider having a spy on their QB, say Pug Grayson, who, by all counts is a good tackler and is big enough to do the job. Beyond that, it will take good tackling and play disciplined football...oh crap, we're doomed.

slUT will be up 35 at halftime
