Honestly, no idea. I just know the reporting says it was drones. If it was, say, a Storm Shadow, I don’t see the point in lying about it. The Russians are going to know the truth eventually from analyzing their radar feed. And I would think we would want the Russians to know if it was weapons we provided, and that there are more where that came from.

I’ve seen the satellite photos and some videos from when they opened it in 2019. Can’t guarantee the workmanship but it looked to be properly done. It had plenty of berms as well to help contain/redirect explosions upward.

Interesting decision. Right now our support of Ukraine is nuanced, complex, and limited. If Russia wants to change that to clear, simple, and total, then they should definitely stay on this path of making threats.

Things keep getting tougher, not sure why this hasn't already happened

Turkey blocks payments from Russian firms to EU suppliers (msn.com)
Turkish banks are refusing to process payments from Russian companies to EU countries and other states, reports the Russian newspaper Vedomosti. European banks have also started refusing payments from Turkish banks made by Russian importers to suppliers.

Importers are again complaining about problems with payments through Turkey, whose banks are popular among domestic businesses and are used to transfer payments to other countries, including Europe, emphasized the newspaper "Vedomosti."

The last time a similar situation was observed was at the beginning of this year when the Turkish banking sector began to fear so-called secondary American sanctions for cooperating with Russian firms.

The problem intensified again in the summer. European banks started to refuse payments from Turkish banks for goods supplying the Russian side, sources reported. As a result, at the beginning of September, the Turkish banking sector began to refuse such payments for Russian importers, wrote the newspaper.

Exclusive-Ammunition from India enters Ukraine, raising Russian ire (msn.com)

Artillery shells sold by Indian arms makers have been diverted by European customers to Ukraine and New Delhi has not intervened to stop the trade despite protests from Moscow, according to eleven Indian and European government and defence industry officials, as well as a Reuters analysis of commercially available customs data.

The transfer of munitions to support Ukraine's defence against Russia has occurred for more than a year, according to the sources and the customs data. Indian arms export regulations limit the use of weaponry to the declared purchaser, who risks future sales being terminated if unauthorised transfers occur.

The Kremlin has raised the issue on at least two occasions, including during a July meeting between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Indian counterpart, three Indian officials said.

Some more detail on the Toropets weapons depot explosions, with before and after pictures, and a video from the following morning (it's not only still burning, but you can see it's burning in multiple places). It appears to be a complex of buildings or bunkers. Somehow Ukraine got many of the buildings to explode. This is a major loss for Russia.

Ukraine says it wiped a key Russian missile and artillery arsenal 'off the face of the earth' in long-range strikes

More excellent research and analysis on current events in the war. Both videos are unabashedly pro-Ukrainian, but the facts speak for themselves:

Pootie pie skipping the inauguration of Mexican president Oct 1. Trump could have gone down there and met him, posed for photos, and kissed his ass. Think of the ratings.

I would assume that Mexico is one of the places that Putin could legitimately be placed under arrest and sent to the Hague.

Hard to say what the total impact will be, but this much is certain: every piece of ordnance that blew up in that depot is one fewer that will blow up in Kyiv, L’viv, Kharkiv, and all along the front. Probably lots of Ukrainian lives were preserved a bit longer.

Russians are getting desperate for more people to send to future wars, and are trying to persuade Russian women to crank out more children. The Kremlin's top doctor is urging women to have sex at work. It's only a matter of time before Trump seizes on this as a major policy initiative for the U.S., as long as it isn't anyone who is trying to poison America's blood.

Russia pushes sex-at-work scheme as population crisis escalates

Italy funnels Indian missiles to Ukraine, Putin livid over arms deal (msn.com)

Meccanica per l'Elettronica e Servomeccanismi (MES), the Italian defense systems manufacturer, purchases empty missiles in India, fills them with explosives, and sends them to Ukraine. Customs data shows that the exported ammunition included 155 mm shells and 120 mm and 125 mm bombs.

Two sources in the Indian government and defense industry told Reuters that Ukraine uses less than 1 percent of Indian weapons in the total imported ammunition by Kyiv.

Some more detail on the ammo dump attack in Krasnodar province, on the east side of the Azov Sea (Toropets is north of eastern Ukraine). It was near the town of Tikhoretsk. It's one of the three largest ammunition depots in Russia. About 1200 people were evacuated from the village of Oktyabrsky. Tikhoretsk is on a major east-west railway line, and has been receiving ammunition from North Korea.

    Two down, one to go.

Without superior numbers in munitions, Russian chances of winning continue to decrease. Putin must be seething by now.
