Typical deflection on the first sentence.

Odd twist on the second considering the NCGOP has come out in continued support of Robinson when they had the chance to drop him.

Now, the Republicans probably did leak the Madison Cawthorn gay sex video because it happened during the primaries and they knew if he had received the GOP nomination, then the Democrats would get the video and release it . Of course, the best way to avoid videos being leaked of being naked and climbing in bed with other guys is not to get naked and climb into bed with other guys.

Robinson has become so toxic that he could have reverse coattails negatively impacting Trump's candidacy in North Carolina. In fact, the Harris campaign may already be running ads linking Trump and Robinson.

They're too busy demanding civility on the thread about Trump and Vance repeatedly claiming people are eating dogs?

Also, if I am understanding correctly, there's really nothing wrong with North Carolinians voting for this immoral sex freak.....so long as they think he might help them in an economic sense.

Hit the tree but missed the target. He hates who they hate, thus the kinship. Robinson has espoused no economic principles outside battling wokeness.

Doesn't @duggers_dad live in NC? Did I miss his post in this thread?

Also, in the past if you were a Republican candidate, you were vetted at the local, state and national level before you were allowed to run for office. In the Trump era, all that matters is loyalty to him to win a ticket.

this kind of stuff makes me slightly nuts because I actually know Tillis and although we are diametrically opposed generally speaking he isn't a stupid person. Nobody on earth with a working brain believes that the media went on an old website, concocted a bunch of posts using Robinson's common-across-all-platforms username (and real name!), did deep research to figure out uncommon phrases that Robinson seems to use and then included them, and then somehow magically caused those pages to be archived.

I get that Tillis is trying to thread the needle here but the dude isn't even running for office again. Why not just call it out for what it is instead of equivocating himself into the land of fantasy?

The funny thing about this is like I said I know Tillis and I could simply ask him this question if I ever see him, he's never afraid to discuss things in a private setting. We once had a discussion about Obamacare for like an hour at an otherwise very boring cocktail party. We weren't really yelling at each other but it was definitely a heated discussion (Hilariously we were both arguing that Obamacare was bad but just for different reasons). He was cool, actually, and he had a couple of good points - I was kind of surprised. I had always regarded him as a stuffed suit prior to that point

Courage vs cowardice? When Biden lost his train of though in a debate people courageously came out and asked him to step down vs gaslighting themselves. Trump had his own but slightly different breakdown in his debate and never lost support as they lit the gas. Robinson knows there is no courage on the right and will stay in to the end is my guess as demonstrated by Tillis.

you look at Robinson's record and wonder how he got to this place, he's not qualified to run a Checkers Drive-through. The guy seriously has no qualifications at all. He's declared bankruptcy like three times, he's only failed at business, his wife is currently being investigated for sending fake reimbursement requests to the state (It's a civil thing right now but it's almost certainly going to go criminal in the future, and there's strong suspicion that he was involved). The guys most successful stint anywhere was as an employee at a pizza place.

Honestly the fact that he's into golden showers, trans porn, and having sex with his wife's sister is the least disqualifying thing about him. I kind of feel like the love of Nazism, the absolutist stance on abortion, His belief in crazy conspiracy theories, and his desire to murder his political opponents are more important

he could be any old guy at a MAGA event

I have said repeatedly that I wont vote for the guy and he is nut job

But anyone being honest has to admit the timing of this is fishy. Am I really just supposed to openly believe that the guy used his normal screen name etc on those sites while saying all that?

    The entire thing seems manufactured.

He is a terrible candidate. He joins trump on my list of guys I wont vote for, but this is all a little too hard to believe.

All the stupid things we hear from him are enough. This just seems scripted to me.

this is just a dumb take sorry I like you but is. Think about all of the different things it would take to manufacture this particular thing.

I don't have any doubt that it was known to the campaign and they leaked it just now but the idea that somehow someone Went to all of this trouble to create a false historical narrative from 10 years ago is absurd. The website still exists... Why make them post from a decade ago? Why not make them from five years ago or three years ago? The dude is still using the same exact username, why not put it on a more credible website that people have heard of? Why make one isolated comment about trans porn but also make comments that the guy doesn't like gays? Why not make all the comments about trans porn and how he is secretly gay? Or why not manufacture the whole thing on some sort of pedophilia website?

also, if this sort of thing was possible why not use it in a close race? Stein was up by like eight or 10 points b4 this happened

To quote my friend who is one of the top lobbyist in North Carolina, everybody knew he had 1 million skeletons in his closet they just didn't care because they thought they could draw a big enough percentage of the black vote to make a difference in the governors race. If you don't believe me I will screenshot her text and send it to you, but the fact that this guy was a walking train wreck was well known. it is also well-known that he is a powerful moron, so using his screen name across multiple platforms is not all that crazy

His GOP primary opposition had all this stuff but held onto it to not anger Trump.

The fact that they are asking him not to appear at GOP events and he's not out there denying all of it tells more about the situation then your suppositions.

A name like “Mark Robinson” is pretty common, it’s not likely anyone would make the connection… what gave it away was he used the same email, which are entirely unique, so it’s clearly the same guy.

Eh, I’ll take it. You’re right, Tillis has nothing to lose, but this is about as close as you’ll come to someone calling out a fellow party member in the current GOP.

As you say, Robinson was known to have skeletons in his closet and yet not even his primary opponents put this out there in the primary.
