I know this, trash Trump all you want but he's brought an issue forward that was in the background for the vast majority of America. The immigration crisis and the abuse of the TPS (remember it's Temporary Protected Status, yet many of these Temporary immigrant Haitians have been here now for a decade, nothing Temporary about that) just for starters.

I'll vote for Trump just for ensuring he will deport Haitians alone, no other reason.

The only Haitians that should be allowed to stay are those with a qualified skill that is of use in our economy (engineering, medical, nursing, finance, etc.) or those who are specifically sponsored by a Company (with the guarantee the Company has done proper background and drug tests on the Haitian and notify the Federal and State Governments immediately when the Haitian is no longer employed by them). All other Haitians should be deported back to Haiti.

How dare people who weren't born white and in America send money back to their families so they can survive. Try just being thankful that you were born into the best possible situation in the world. Make the best of it that you can since you have an enormous leg up on 95% of the world's population.

Good for them, never particularly cared for Haitian cuisine. Crudely presented and inferior to other Caribbean cuisines in my opinion.

Those same people probably live in gated communities and would call the police if they saw a Haitian in their neighborhood. It's all pandering and for show.

Support them while you can before Trump rightly deports them.

Sorry but I was born with nothing. My dad died before I was born and my mom would starve for days at a time because we grew up in poverty in Appalachia. I didn't have shoes until I was 8. Scr*w you, I was given nothing. And I have a chronic condition that will most likely ensure I won't make it past maybe 60.

How would you like it if suddenly your community was majority Haitian and they were all sending money back to their home country? How would you like it if that happened and your business couldn't survive?

Temporary Protected Status can be changed and removed by the President at any time. Remove the TPS status and deport.

And then close up the border and end all immigration to the U.S. pending a complete overhaul of the immigration system.

With all due respect I genuinely have no clue what this comment is supposed to mean. Again I was born with nothing so I was not privileged in any way. And I expect this country to protect its borders and not let us be invaded by other nations like we are now.

I'm sorry that you've had to deal with those hardships. Perhaps that should give you some empathy for people going through similar difficult circumstances as you have more in common with those Hatians than you may realize.

Sorry but I didn't go run to another country. I made something of myself. Maybe those Haitians should try to rebuild their own country instead of invading another country.

Some of you seem to believe the U.S. can support the entire world. We can't support the entire world. We can't even support the majority of our current population. Heck how many homeless, mentally ill and veterans in our own country are forgotten. Those people need our resources far before any immigrant coming here from another country. We can't support the world. The Haitians and other immigrants have to go back to their own country.

Okay, guy who claimed that he was going to take off work to patrol the border before claiming that he was his own mother and had died.

Do you still live in the same area of W. Virginia? Or, did you move to an area where there are more economic opportunities? If you moved, then you do have more in common with Haitian immigrants than you wish to admit. One difference? Haiti is an island country whereas the US has a lot more land, more cities, and more opportunities.

I didn't invade a different country. Haitians are more than welcome to move around their own country for opportunities.

Haiti is less than half the size of West Virginia. Where are they supposed to go to escape the poverty? And how are legal immigrants invaders?

Don't kid yourself. That poster has appeared numerous times under different aliases posting horrendously false claims, including that he succumbed to a terrible liberal-induced illness - this according to his mom, who showed up on Too Hot to tell her poor son's story.

You are making some unfair generalizations here. I think you need to insert some qualifiers, like “some Haitians”. You are also not accounting for other populations. It’s not just Haitians… Europeans, Asians, South Americans, Africans, etc… all drain the U.S. economy. We probably send more money to Ukraine (which I support btw) than the Haitian drain on the economy.
