Lol....all you are doing is proving my point. YOU posted about his time with the Raiders as if it were some negative, seemingly oblivious to the irony that your preference of Lane has that same issue. It's not particularly pertinent, nor is it with countless coaches that were fired in the nfl

We're going to get to page 50 before they even fire the guy. Let's get this show on the road already.

If he can’t win the big 10 he’s not winning the SEC.

Weird post, but ok ..You may not recall that I was one of the people calling for Mac to be fired when the death threat stuff hit...and I believe I was the first to post that he would be that day. Pretty sure my post broke the story here.

I posted a thread here in GAME ONE ...when Muschamp said he didn't know how to fix turnovers, I said we have a problem. He said that after game one. I called for his job after Ga Southern.

Now I will stand by my belief that Mullen was a good hire and could win here if he had a DC with a pulse and I was on the record that we should not fire him. In retrospect, how has that worked out for us?

As for Napier, I called for his job after the Miami game and that makes me in line with the majority.

But tell me, When Muschamp had us 1 game from the National Championship game and when Mac had us in two SEC championship games and Mullen had us in 3 NY6 bowls (thats 5 trips to the playoffs with the current rules mind you), why should I have been agreeing with the mushmouths crying for their jobs?

As for experience, Heupel hasnt coached any major programs. Day hadn't coached any major programs. Mac had as good a resume as those guys.

No, I was onboard with all the firings before the end of year 3 (except Mullen), and am onboard with this one since Miami went up 14-0.

Don't hate on those of us that support the new coach and at least give him a chance there bruh.

This absolutely explains my hesitation, as well. His football acumen and coaching ability does not concern me in the least. What I am concerned about is the shape he would leave the program in upon his departure.
I will go ahead and save you all the trouble: yes, it absolutely can get worse as we have already discovered.

I have two younger brothers who no longer enjoy watching Gator football. I cannot predict my fandom although it is definitely waning. Crap, I have gone through so many droughts from the 1950's, I am fairly certain to survive the current one.

Agreed. Agreed. Agreed and agreed. We also ate our crow for being on Team Mullen longer than many and if I remember right, you even started the Mullen crow-eating thread.

He would certainly make the UT game more interesting and ramp up the rivalry. I doubt he'd have any problem hating on uga and fsu either.

This is exactly what one side of the story states. That KB was in fact told he wouldn’t have total control of offense.

We sound like them because we are 3 years into Butch Napier. We need to find our Huepel, or better yet, just steal him.

Desperate times, desperate measures. Time to start thinking outside the box. To my knowledge, the NCAA does not have a rule that a head coach has to be human. What if the UF Engineering Dept developed an AI robot with only the best qualities of Spurrier, Meyer, Muschamp (defense only please) with the grit of Tebow and Youngblood? We would be unstoppable! Well at least until those smart kids at MIT steal our idea.
