It just keeps getting worse. WTH MAGA, how can you defend this type of crap?

Ohio sheriff condemned for saying people with Harris yard signs should have their addresses recorded (msn.com)

An Ohio sheriff is under fire for a social media post in which he said people with Kamala Harris yard signs should have their addresses recorded so that immigrants can be sent to live with them if the Democrat wins the presidency. Good-government groups called it a threat and urged him to remove the post.

Portage County Sheriff Bruce Zuchowski, a Republican in the thick of his own reelection campaign, posted a screenshot of a Fox News segment that criticized Democratic President Joe Biden and Vice President Harris over their immigration record and the impact on small communities like Springfield, Ohio, where an influx of Haitian migrants has caused a political furor in the presidential campaign.

Likening people in the U.S. illegally to "human locusts," Zuchowski wrote on a personal Facebook account and his campaign's account: “When people ask me... What’s gonna happen if the Flip-Flopping, Laughing Hyena Wins?? I say ... write down all the addresses of the people who had her signs in their yards!" That way, Zuchowski continued, when migrants need places to live, “we’ll already have the addresses of their New families ... who supported their arrival!”
    ..........................
Zuchowski defended himself in a follow-up post this week, saying he was exercising his own right to free speech and that his comments “may have been a little misinterpreted??” He said voters can choose whomever they want for president, but then “have to accept responsibility for their actions."

Approximately where does Sheriff lie on the intellect-to-gig spectrum? Portage Co. lies to the near south of Cleveland and directly to the east of Akron, so it's not a totally remote/rural area. I'm just guessing that Sheriff in such a location is a rung or two lower than HS science teacher; at least three rungs below kindergarten classroom teacher and pretty much on par with fast food restaurant manager. While plenty of people in those gigs are intellectually strong, there are exceptions. This guy is probably one of the more dip-shitiest Sheriffs, placing him more on par with fast food restaurant shift manager (no offense intended to shift managers, etc.).

Might even rank lower than the Kentucky sheriff who just shot a judge.

    I saw that this morning.

I think it's closer to the "MAGA Sheriff" in Millersville, TN. I think it's thread worthy. Gotta wait before I make one because CaNt HaVe ToO mAnY pOliCe ThReAdS oN pAgE 1. GC will let 10 Trump posts and 10 Biden threads on page 1, but apparently bad cops are a protected class here. It's so weird. It's not some immutable characteristic, it's a job choice, yet pointing out that some of these folks are bad people is a no-no.

that incident is really weird. A sheriff shooting the judge - in the judge's chamber no less.

Hmmm... last name is Zuchowski... I wonder when this anti-immigrant Sheriff's ancestors immigrated to the USA. :emoji_thinking:

I think he is Native American and his real name ('Do cows ski?') has been anglicized at some point.

I was listening to a trooper give a press conference this morning while I was getting ready for work. From what I gathered, they were arguing before hand. It was also related to a deposition in, I think, a civil suit against one of the sheriff's deputy. Pretty wild.

So naturally he and other likeminded voters “accept responsibility for their actions” when voting down abortion and take in unwanted children? Right?

They basically get immunity from GC and will get immunity from Trump if he wins. Sweet deal!

    Well, it gets worse...

Also, quite the light sentence for the charges, or at least it seems that way to me.

    https://www.wjhl.com/news/local/ken...nored-deputys-abuse-of-woman-in-his-chambers/

WHITESBURG, Ky. (AP) — The sheriff charged with murder in the shooting of a rural Kentucky judge in his courthouse chambers was accused in a federal lawsuit of failing to investigate allegations that one of his deputies repeatedly sexually abused a woman in the same judge’s chambers.

Stines was deposed on Monday in a lawsuit filed by two women, one of whom alleged that a deputy forced her to have sex inside Mullins’ chambers for six months in exchange for staying out of jail. The lawsuit accuses the sheriff of “deliberate indifference in failing to adequately train and supervise” the deputy.

The now-former deputy sheriff, Ben Fields, pleaded guilty to raping the female prisoner while she was on home incarceration. Fields was sentenced this year to six months in jail and then six and a half years on probation for rape, sodomy, perjury and tampering with a prisoner monitoring device, The Mountain Eagle reported. Three charges related to a second woman were dismissed because she is now dead.
