Why is she an idiot? I think most people who have a gun in their house have it to use it if needs be. I know I do. I assume Republicans would love this messaging.

If I had a gun and someone broke into my house, I would use it to make them lie down on the floor and wait for the police. If I was a woman, I would shoot. If I was flgator2, I would think before hitting the "POST REPLY" button.

I’m confused here—isn’t that the purpose of owning a gun—to protect your family and yourself in the event of an intruder breaking into your home? Honestly, and I say this with all respect, the only type of person that would have any semblance of objection to her statement is a far left “Libby Pacifist.” Just based on your posting history, unless your account was hijacked, that doesn’t fit your description.

 

Probably? Because he’d say it on a way that was so inane that it would be filled, intentionally or not, with racist or xenophobic nonsense that it would come off offensive.

But even if he said the exact same thing, in the exact same way, wouldn’t you agree with him? I’m not sure why a Red-Only MAGA poster,like the OP, would start thread that highlights what is effectively a positive statement by Harris.

As long as this isn't lip service prior to a complete flip flop, this was a great moment for her. It won't move the needle for hardliners on either side but its at least her trying to throw a bone over to the other side. Nice job, if she continues to chip away at the undecided middle, she can take this in a landslide.

Unlike some on the left, I understand the why for Trump but if he continues to use divisiveness and Kamala just holds to her guns (pun intended ), she can lock up the undecided vote.

I just don’t think much if anything is going to move the needle from this point forward. Both of the candidates are now just trying to say and do things to energize the actual vote. Trump will continue to scream fear porn in every issue (with no substance on how he could fix even the perceived fear-porn issues, even assuming they exist). And Kamala is going to paint her picture as a rational, sane adult who is absolutely needed to ensure the lunatic doesn’t step foot into office again (also with no real substance on how she will actually address issues).

 

She probably goes to the range with Dougie. It's so cute to see couples standing side-by-side, riddling paper targets with 9mm rounds. My brother and his wife shoot together. So romantic.

 

Yep, its a sad reality. Just when you try to get on board with either candidate you take a deep look and realize they are both historically bad.

This is why we need a legit third party on every ballot with equal TV time and lip service from the media. Its just unfortunate that the closest legit option is Libertarian and they don't know what they believe in from one day to the next.

 

I take my wife to the range but I taught her how to shoot (former GM in Navy) and she has a better shot than me sometimes so I try not to bring her on a busy day so she cant make me look bad in front of everyone...
