Hard to see us pulling a HC doing well and already making $10 million.

I agree, and this was a DA method of calling plays. Allowed the TAMU DL to tee off with enormous pressure! Why would any coach put his quarterback in such peril? It was obvious that we couldn't run the ball. We should have passed short to intermediate with a three-step drop, mixed with a few run plays. Poor BN, he never seems to be able to make adjustments to the defense.

Standard operating procedure for media mouthpieces

Beginning: Positive talk to keep access to the program.

When the end is clearly coming: Let the behind the scenes stories of dysfunction begin

We’ve seen it way too many times now.

It would be threading a needle with ESD and portal deadline. He'd need to be announced before end of season. Doubt he'd want to start behind the 8 ball with slim roster. And/or a guaranteed number of years and FAT contract. Are we that desperate?

Definitely played to the opponents strengths instead of against them. The only thing I will add is that he did adjust some, just waaaaay too slowly. We did outscore them in the second half. But, then he drifted back into the same pattern after finding some success.

Now that this myth has been repeated for the 300th time on this forum in the past week, do you feel good?

Toe the line, or your access and privileges will be revoked. Go along to get along. Same with the media boys. In those post game PC’s late last season Billy got real snarky and started turning the questions around on whoever was asking. Telling them to be more specific and acting like he didn’t know what they were talking about, when everyone else did. Not one of them challenged him on it. On Monday with the first question Edgar finally asked an uncomfortable question, and Billy didn’t like it. Now the roof is caving in and everyone can see what a disaster this is. The culprits will all leave town with their pockets stuffed with Gator buck$, and that sucks!

This isn't a mutually exclusive set of circumstances....both can be right: The fans putting pressure on SBBN are causing to have tics at bad times and he is a terrible coach.

Fuchs is the poster boy for participation trophy management. A few years back there was a serious issue wrongdoing with the UF General Counsel. Instead of firing her for cause (which you don't even have to do in FL since it is a at-will employment State) he allowed her to resign with a fat severance. He's not going to do anything in regard to Stricklin unless someone forces him to do so.

I think the issue is that Barber was never a LT. He's a RT playing out of position. That may mean that he is still the best LT on the roster which is telling about how bad the rest of the OL is. However, as you suggest, many, many very effective OL coaches have said the position is a developmental one. Unfortunately, its crystal clear that certain position groups on this team are not being developed.

Bingo....I don't recall who, but someone gave me a "come on man" emoji this Summer when I suggested that you have to take every pre-season article with a grain of salt. Most of what they write is second-hand information and what little they see isn't enough to really form a objective opinion. I have to say, though, Phil Steele seems to have gotten it right by being seriously negative about UF's chances in 2024 unlike a lot of the "they're gonna surprise some folks" media boys.

They can do it, they just have to write-off this years HS recruiting class (which isn't stellar anyway) and fill that one year hole through the portal. In other words, it'll cost us a wheelbarrow full of greenbacks.

It just comes down to not biting that hands that feed you, especially with these dumbtubers. They are nothing without a click.

For the most part I don't, but many spread their word like it's gospel on here. I just find Her, Harris and his Hightop guy the worst with the clickbait stuff. Others aren't as bad.

They’re all pretty bad. Not just in the sports world. Some folks can’t function unless they’re told what to think though, and every asshole with a camera phone is making money off them nowadays.

Where did you hear that? That's not what he said at the postgame presser and it's not what he did actually on the field. He rotated rigidly despite the results.
