Maybe the Gators can pull off a win! They've won before. They beat Samford, TD's galore.

And then depression set in.

You all forget, CBN doesn’t like to score first, just feel them out with a couple of runs up the middle and a desperation pass behind the line of scrimmage. This never works so the defense trots it and surprised when the other team is throwing the ball with aggression and gets points. Now our running game plan to keep it away from the opponent is tried again. One first down then a punt. The upstart opponent takes it downfield with downfield passing, we are two td’s behind so we start by throwing on first down then run the ball. Third and long, the QB drops back to pass and is creamed by three linemen. It is not fair when opposing teams send seven or eight on third and long. This type of football is for losing teams, tada!

Billy said their plan going into the season was to play DJ at some point in every game, but not a rotation. So why rotate now? The rotation in the aTm did neither QB any favors, imho.

 

What a mess! I have to wonder how motivated will this team be knowing BN not might but will be fired at some point in the season. They know themselves they are a bad team facing a very tough schedule and one can see it's a depressing situation no matter how hard BN says forget the noise. I suspect many already know they will be opting for the portal to leave the stress as soon as they can. Even if LK were to come, he's going to be involved in the playoffs and won't be available till late January or early February. What a mess.

 

Bo Bounds (MSU) podder says MSU is in the midst of a huge rebuild and talent wise, is at the lowest level since Jackie Sherrill left.

We can expect lots of passing and jet sweeps. He predicts a 2 maybe 3 win season.

Predicts a UF win, based on talent but given how poorly UF has played and the game is at MSU, the bulldogs may have a chance.

I want to hear about the "great leadership" and "amazing chemistry" happening this week in and around practice. Some directed anger and physicality is what you'd hear from teams with serious competitors in similar circumstances.

 

My wife is a Toledo grad. I’ll never hear the end of it if we lose this one.

Remember when they beat SOS in '99 only to have Corso describe the '00 Gators as hopping mad about it and go on to win 52-0?

 

At this time, I am just hoping we can keep the no shutout streak going through the end of the season. It’s the only streak we have going.

Was laughing out loud watching Shane talk to a Mississippi sports radio dude today about how bad their team was. This game isn’t about who’s gonna win, it’s about who’s going to lose less.

 

Pretty reasonable. We are on the road against the only team who are playing as badly as we are. UCF feels good about themselves. If FSU turns things around, who do we play that we can expect to beat?

 

It's a matchup of bad vs bad. We can't run, they can't stop the run. We can pass ok, they are decent in zone coverage. They can't run, we can't stop the run.

However, the reason I'm picking them is they can pass pretty good and our secondary may as well not exist.

And to anyone who says, but Toledo... yes, we are worse than Toledo.

 

He's just making it up as he goes along... This is something he should have figured out how to handle years ago...
