What this poll proves to me? Is that there are a ton of non Gator fans on this site voting to keep Napier till the end... If Napier "goes the distance" we will have several players "opt-out" and quit so they can save one more year of college eligibility to some other school that is serious about their football program. By the end of the year, all of our best (and then some) recruits will have been poached by other serious college football programs, and we will have sabotaged our next coaching staff for at least one more year... That would be the most damaging way to end his tenure in Gainesville. Waiting to the end of the year... is THE WORST CASE SCENARIO.
And? I said the kids have ties through the mother. She is a Gator and her dad was John Reaves. The kids are old enough to be intrigued to go to Florida I would think assuming good relations with mom and Grandpa John while he was alive.
Nobody is voting to keep Billy to the end of the season. The question is when do you think the powers to be will can him. Reading comprehension is important.
Read the question not the answer. It asks which game will be the last not which game do you think should be the last. Geez and obviously you have no comprehension.
Miss State is his last game. With the bye week coming up..will help the interim have some semblance of time to patch it together.
Right now no self respecting coach will come to UF. Our AD needs to go because he has failed miserably in finding the right guy! UF grad 1965
Now this is interesting. Does he really want to jump into college football? I think he'd assemble a hellova staff, would keep our best players, would have instant credibility with hs recruits, fans would be excited (except the LGBTQ community and probably some women) and we would be a physical team again. Would he be an effective recruiter? I don't see UF taking a chance with him but I think a few boosters will talk to him.
I really have no idea who is the best fit for the Gators. And I don't think anyone else does either. There are a lot of fans clamoring for Kiffin but I'm not convinced he's a fit. He's great when he's winning but how will he handle the heat at UF when he isn't winning? (Mullen, McElwin didn't handle it well) Spurrier and Urban demanded excellence and were more critical of their team than the media, the fans and the administration. I think Gruden is similar but is Kiffin? I just want to know that a thorough search is being conducted in an effort to find the very best coach for our program. Establish criteria that defines the perfect candidate with must-haves that are deal-breakers if he doesn't possess those skills/characteristics. If Kiffin is that guy, make it happen I think the #1 criteria should be that he has won at the highest level.
Maybe I didn't read the poll right, but I voted that he is not fired until after FSU or in the post season. Even Spurrier is asking to "give Billy a chance." I think he should be let go much sooner, but I don't have much faith in the powers-that-be. I'm sure this will be our worst season since 1979.
