There are several $7 million $8 million coaches you can get out there and second tier schools hire them all the time. Bama hires their guy straight from the playoffs.

 

We've had 4 busts in a row for HC hires. Odds are we will cut CBN at some point, hire another HC, and in 3 years or so back to zero. I would try to cut a deal with CBN, have him stay on and make some changes, and then he can exit gracefully at year end. In the meantime, get all our ducks in a row so that when the announcement is made of his leaving, within a few days we announce the hire. If it's not a home run hire, we will be back here in a few years having this discussion again.

 

There was a 36” blackstone in marketplace this morning in Lake City for 70$. Needed some elbow grease but hey.

 

The "analytics" were in place for DeBoer as well. Washington's recruiting classes since 2000= not good. from 4-8 to 8-4ish, then undefeated and playing for the NC. Not bad.

Best move I made was getting LP company to plumb a gas line on porch and put two outlets. It goes straight to big tank that water heater and generator are on. No more running out with 20lb cylinders. And gas is cheaper in big tank.

Heard that this morning, Shane said that Spurrier and he really like Jeff Brohm's coaching style and feel like somebody will snatch him up in the next couple of years. I had to look him up, knew nothing about him. Looks to be a solid choice.
Having him in Lane and Lincoln's company is pretty lofty!

 

You heard him everybody, all opinions on abortion, Trump, and the one true religion are welcome here!

 

Just counting the regular ones UF has hired 10 coaches in my life.

Some might say SOS was always going to end up at UF. Some might say that UM came because of the University President.

My long and tortured point is that UF has a very long history of making really poor head football coaching hires.

Being a pessimist it wouldn’t surprise me to see Jamey Chadwell or someone like him hired.
