    9 1/2 weeks is more accurate, but it wasn't 5 1/2 weeks. July 13th to September 15th = 65 days

Yeah, because this clown is hiding something. Good Lord. Have you seen the pictures of him? I doubt you could get 3 sane words out of this kook in a day-long interrogation.

I know you guys want to milk this for all it's worth, but unfortunately you can't take back "they're eating cats and dogs!", which will probably be looked at as the final blow for Trump and MAGA.

In the case of the attempted assassination at the Trump International Club in West Palm Beach we have a very good reason why, most likely because Trump insisted at playing golf at a facility where it was extremely difficult to provide a high level of security.
Trump’s golf outings have long concerned Secret Service.
Soon after Donald Trump became president, authorities tried to warn him about the risks posed by golfing at his own courses because of their proximity to public roads. Secret Service agents came armed with unusual evidence: not suspect profiles or spent bullet casings, but simple photographs taken by news crews of him golfing at his private club in Sterling, Va.

They reasoned that if photographers with long-range lenses could get the president in their sights while he golfed, so, too, could potential gunmen, according to former U.S. officials involved in the discussions. Like most others interviewed for this story, they spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the matter’s sensitivity.

One important test of how just is a government action is whether the same action would be taken regardless of the identity of the individual/entity involved. Would DeSantis make this same proclamation for Harris if she were in the same situation? The answer is of course not.

There is one reason for Ron DeSantis's stunt. It's part of his strategy to ingratiate himself with Trump's MAGA supporters for a likely 2028 run for the presidency.

Obviously, anything can happen. But something about that line and the unhinged nature of it. . . how utterly stupid and self-destructive it was seems to have turned things pretty decidedly the other way. If you thought he was an idiot before, there was zero doubt after that debacle of a debate. Which, BTW, is all his fault for not preparing and for listening to idiots like that Loomer woman.

Again, if I was conspiracy minded, I'd be thinking she's a CIA plant, or that Trump has cut a deal behind the scenes and decided to "throw" the campaign.

He's the Panderer In Chief. I liked him his first two years. Took a common-sense approach to pretty much everything. But then he started the pandering shit with Disney, New School, etc. and I was out. I thought he was better than that, but apparently he's not.

Funny you’re putting down my “anecdotal experience” in favor of your total lack of experience. I’ve at least worked in a state DOJ and worked with the state attorney general. I’ve seen numerous cases come through and have an understanding of how they’re handled including how prosecuting decisions are affected. But you’re right, I’ve never had an attempted assassination of a former President come through during my time. It’s too bad that invalidates my experience.

By "clear the area" do you mean closing the public roads surrounding the course and/or removing the vegetation on the perimeter of the course or alternatively assigning dozens of Secret Service agents and/or law enforcement officers to patrol the perimeter of the golf course. Those are the only real alternatives to ensure that the course would be completely secure.

Isn't this Free Florida where you're allowed to take spectate golf while carrying a rifle?

Creating a traffic jam anytime Trump plays golf would just make more people want to shoot him

His golf courses should only have one door in or out, 30 foot high walls enclosing them and bulletproof hedges to hide behind on each hole.

I know you’re being facetious, but it’s an interesting point. According to JD Vance guns are a fact of life so we should be hardening our [golf courses].
