I posted an article and in the comments section someone posted that he's been gone for his house for a while and the son says in another article that he never knew his father was in Florida? Well... that might be true, but he had to know his father was not home for weeks.

From what I was told, while Obama was in office and played golf at Andrew's AFB, the USSS would clear the four holes ahead of him and behind but they would not lock down the course. I've had Obama behind me on the course post-Presidency and the USSS does not do that for an ex-POTUS.

 

A friend of mine almost hit former president GHWB with his car at a private course in Florida at a millionaire gated community a years back. My friend's mom was cleaning one of the homes there and GHWB darted out across the road in a golf cart right in front of him. He slammed his brakes and almost immediately got swarmed by secret service and subsequently banned from the community.
