You can't completely put a 4 win season on Mac. He got fired with a 3-4 record. Maybe Stricklin should get credit for the 1-4 record that resulted afterwards.....it would be better than his record of coaching hires.

The weight challenged lady who’s still awesome is singing now! (Hopefully that is politically correct way for saying that in today’s society!)

There will be a negotiation. However, this was a contract that both sides agreed to. I have no doubt that BN deserves to be fired and I have no doubt he tried his best. Sure, if BN gracefully comes to an accord that would be admirable, but the blame for the magnitude of this buyout is not on BN.

Despite his ineptitude, it is not his fault that UF literally gave away the farm to hire him.

Thanks admin. Admin needs to make a decision about what direction they want to go. The current trajectory goes no where good.

Don’t ask me why, but I re-watched yesterday’s post game PC.

Napier baisically told us who and what he truly is. He is a good man who believes in hard work, honesty, relationships, commitment, and rewarding the aforementioned.

You can tell he was raised well and wants to carry that message to all he coaches and teaches. Would work well at the HS level or Div 3/NAIA (are they still a thing?) where there are no scholarships.

He stuck to the plan of playing Mertz one series and DJ one series regardless of how the game was flowing. Said so himself. Unfortunately a HC at this level needs to be fine-tuned to what is happening in the game and make the necessary changes in real time.

He will forever believe that hard work should be and will be rewarded. He believes that if you just stick to the process, and now I realize the process is just that hard work with delayed gratification, then eventually you will receive that gratification.

All that is probably true in 99% of professions. Not so for a Power5/SEC football head coach.

You need cold-blooded, cut-throat, back-stabbing, rival-trolling, RUTS sons of bitches to run a football program at this level.

Our administration found in Napier what they wanted in an employee. They forgot what is needed from a head football coach.

No doubt Napier is a good man who can have an impact in those he coaches. Again, perfect for D3/NAIA. He is simply out of his league; literally.

Mullen as OC, Muschamp as DC, ChatGPT as executive head coach/game manager.

Yeah, that should tell you how much you can rely on the current state of AI for a good answer.

I’ve often joked that Mullen should have hired Champ back as DC. Nobody would have gone for it though I’m thinking.
