You do know that repeating this on the forum isn’t actually doing that though, right? If you want to go full on PI, have at it. I won’t be joining you on your mission.

You are correct that they don’t care what the average fan thinks. They do care about what the fanbase thinks collectively, however. For example, they care very much when the entire stadium boos a public service announcement featuring Napier or if the entire crowd starts chanting “Fire Billy!” The peasants might be revolting (in the “gross” meaning of the word), but you still can’t have the peasants revolting (in the pitchforks and torches sense).

This is really strange...like we are waiting for a sick relative to pass...

The board is relatively dead, is it because there is no exciting football ahead for our team and we are exhausted seeing the product on the field? If not, what is it?
There are rumors being posted on USA Today about boosters gathering up the funds to pay for the buyout; rumors on Sporting news about possible coach candidates, rumors galore all over.

What is going on? I know the team has not shown much on the field, but isn't it too early for this type of talk? I mean, who is going to be an interim coach if BN gets canned? Someone he hired? That is not going to change anything!

It's a long season still! What is the team going to do, give up and forfeit the rest of games?! The answer is for the team and coaches to buckle up and get tough! The head coach may be fired towards the end of the year, but Good Lord, show some pride and mental toughness and get ready for Miss St next Saturday!!

I hope the team gets fired up, but the fan base is done.

There's <10% of Gator fans that think BN is the right coach for Florida.

    Apathy spells the end

I merged your thread where we've been talking about things last night and all day.

Tilly is warming up in the bullpen . . .

Yes, because urban put them there. The OP said he had only been at places that didn’t need building and I came back with Bowling Green and Utah… Nobody wins at Bowling Green and until that point nobody had one at Utah.

I think it’s more like <1% at this point Maine Gator. You are right though, apathy has set in. I usually work my work schedule around games, but for the first time I think I’ll just work instead. I’ve never, ever done that.

Interesting take. Looking at Muschamp, Mac, Mullen, and now Billy, the only one I feel outright resentment toward is Mullen. He got lazy, shirked his responsibilities in recruiting, and ultimately quit on the team forcing his firing. At least the other three tried - even probably gave it their best. Dan Mullen did not

The guys with the cash apply plenty of pressure and they don’t even know who we are. If the fans are mad, they are mad too but they aren’t up at night thinking about how they can make us feel better.

Billy presser scheduled tomorrow 11:45. Nothing is happening. Move along. SSDD. Nothing to see here. Hope for wins, hide disappointment with the loss.

I respect that opinion but have a different take. To me Mullen was the only one of the four that had the intelligence and ability to be a good/great gator coach. He failed b/c he kept grantham and has personality deficit disorder- making him a poor recruiter and leader of alumni/nil. I think if Stricklin demanded he fire grantham and bring in recruiters, he might have righted the ship but his leadership shortcomings doomed him, much like muschamp’s offensive shortcomings (just lacked the ability personally or willingness to make great hires and let them coach) and stubbornness doomed him. They all failed for different reasons but Napier’s fall is the most complete, in my opinion. Doesn’t matter other than to recognize what has and hasnt worked at UF.
