Maybe not, but I was referring to the last 2+ seasons of certain ones here making excuses for Napier every week and insulting everyone's collective intelligence. Sometimes directly insulting those who dare question Napier.

I agree that Lane Kiffin is the answer and should have been 3 yrs ago, but what makes you believe that he wants to come here? Also, unfortunately, the UAA or AD will NOT be negotiating from a position of strength, so Kiffin will get what he wants regarding the terms of the contract.

I don’t know Kiffin is going to produce.
No one does. Do you think he is going to do the very hard work for multiple years to tight out football program?
I don’t see that loyalty and work ethic in him. No way.

I'm sure the players don't like hearing the boobirds coming off the field any more than Napier does, even if they are directed at Napier.

This guy has a tweet he made from 2021 pinned to the top of his feed where he gives the same news about Mullen being fired. Was that a legit leak or a guess or after the fact?

    A few thoughts…
    1. Stricklin must go…his primary job is to hire a football coach. You do not give an administrator 3 chances to fail at his primary function. 2 failures is the limit.
    2. By now I have watched every SEC team play but miss state. I would rank both of our lines dead last in the SEC - that’s BOTH defensive and offensive.
    3. I don’t think you can go to Starkville with Napier as your coach.

If you don't have confidence in a guy like Kiffin, who has obviously had a desire for a job like Florida HBC for his entire professional life, I don't know who you can have confidence in.

    Although that's a LOT of $$$$$, I understand it's not an impediment.

I question the constant negativity and bitching. Some start sooner than others. If we were 3-0, things would be different but three years and still can hold our own at los is enough for anyone.

It makes sense they're making this move now, because they have to fire both Stricklin and Napier and it will take time to find Stricklin's replacement.

It’s a ton of cash but here we are and for all the money fans bring into the program, you can’t sell this crap. You either pony up the money or become Vandy and just cash the 60 mil check. Some fans are all kinds of weather more than others. I dropped the 2k for Tennessee last year and Miami this year. Both years, I had plans to come back one or two more times but decided I had more enjoyable things to spend my money on. Miami was a big waste of my hard earned cash. I’m not rich.

I have been saying #1 for years. Few on this board are able to connect the dots, but Scott Stricklin is DONE hiring UF football coaches. DONE DONE DONE. And if he is done with his primary job function, why keep him around?

Everything we are going through with regards to Billy's buyout is Stricklin's doing. It wouldn't surprise me if Jimmy Sexton had little to do with it. Stricklin isn't dumb. He knew if Napier didn't work out he was gone, barring some unforeseen thing like the Shark-boy death threats scenario. Stricklin made the buyout high on purpose to deter firing Billy for quite a few years therefore guaranteeing his job security for that long. Anyone unwilling to see this as anything else than that is naive and has not watched enough college football and the surrounding developments. This was Stricklin's master plan all along- guaranteeing HIS job security, not Billy's.

    #2- agree

#3- part of me thought that if we lost to aTm but played close Napier would go to Starkville. The decision would be made after we returned from Starkville 1-3 or after a loss to UCF. After yesterday's showing no way he goes to Starkville. We got PWNED in the worst of ways. By an inexperienced QB making his first start ever under a new HC. How do you get owned at home in such away starting a 6th year senior in his second year in the system by a guy who has never started? There is nothing that can be said, written, or done that can justify keeping Billy Napier after yesterday. Nothing. It doesn't matter how hard he has worked. The result of his hard work is pure $hit.
