Correct! We need to hire a President, then he needs to hire an AD, then we can hire a head coach. The head coach needs to be hired quietly. We do NOT want the program dragged through the mud again!

 

He is the most senior but I'd like to see Mike Peterson as interim head coach. Looking back two seasons, Auburn cut their head coach loose early in the season and went with Cadillac Williams, a former player who was an assistant coach. who managed to go 5-6 for the rest of the season. If we could go almost 500 the rest of the year I'd view whoever the interim coach is a superhero.

 

I think that the SEC champ will be one of the best in the nation. As such, I think that team will enjoy their week off as lesser teams beat each other up. It evens out. I will take the closest week off to my first playoff game and not have to play as many games. Seeding also matters and an SEC champ will most likely be a 1 or 2 seed.

 

This is happening very fast, kinda surprised but I hope they fire Scott Stricklin with Napier.

You do realize our LBs are terribly coached, maybe he would be a good delegator but nothing in his past suggests this. With our schedule miss st and fsu are about the most winnable games, that makes us likely 3-9

Lets say Texas as 5 seed doesn't play in champ due 1 SEC loss losing h2h tie breaker and SEC champ loser who is lower seed with more losses overall.

No1 UGA would have played SEC champ game to earn a matchup with Oregon or Penn st.

No5 Texas is off during conf champ then plays NORTHERN ILLINOIS at HOME to earn matchup vs OK st.

Give me the Texas scenario in a heartbeat, and if you think that is not the easier road, then there is no reason to discuss further.
