He is done. Time to move on.

 

I'll save you time. No excuses, got to get it fixed, I have improved everything that doesn't have to do with actual football or winning games. Media actually starting to ask real questions of why should you be the coach.

I truly believe Napier is a decent guy. He means well. It has become painfully obvious that he is in over his head. Time to start winning again, we can, and with the right coach and right admin leadership we will.

 

I made it through 6 and a half minutes. I couldn’t listen anymore. It’s the same BS excuses. “It’s my responsibility.” Well why do your teams look perpetually unprepared? Why do your lines of scrimmage get dominated week in and week out by FBS competition? Why is your defense continually giving up big play after big play? Why can’t your defense get third down stops. It’s time. He shouldn’t even been allowed to give a press conference. It should have been Stricklin announcing the university parting ways with Napier and naming an interim HC.

 

If he had answers, we wouldn't stink.

 

Once again, he would be the last to know.

 

He should just say, "We really got processed."

 

I’m not so sure. If there is a firing due to this game, it’ll likely be tomorrow or Monday. I don’t think Stricklin will make a decision that fast after the third game of the season. He will sleep on it and make a decision later. There’s no sense in making a decision when emotions are high. I’m guessing fired tomorrow and allowed to address the team one last time on Monday. The latest firing date would be the day after the UGA game.

 

I got that impression from the halftime interview.

 

I’m at a loss as to how a first year coach can have his team so much better prepared than Billy entering his 3rd season.


But, if Billy keeps believing that this so-called ‘process’ is actually effective, then maybe he should start following George Costanza’s life philosophy: “If every instinct you have is wrong, then the opposite would have to be right.”

 

Stricklin nominally makes the decision, but if a specific group of very large boosters say NIL/donations are done, his hand is forced. I have no idea when it will happen (my guess is sooner than later) but I have no doubt it will be done. That decision is made.

 

I’m certain the decision was made this evening. Now it’s probably all about discussing the right time.
