This is a bombshell imo - Mike Griffith is pretty respected. He’s not an internet troll who is positing - i think even if we win 7-8 he’s gone cuz he’s proven he cannot and will not maximize our talent towards a championship. It’s pretty clear - we are talented at WR and don’t have much of an oline so anyone can see - liking up 5 wide and letting DJ either run or rip it downfield is your best shot- but Billy will not divert from the process so he continues to play Mertz allowing teams to tee off on us. It’s a fundamental flaw - along with lack of toughness, discipline, urgency… and even if we somehow won 8 - which would be remarkable with this schedule- it’s clear he’s not going to be able to maximize whet DJ, Tank, Mizell etc can do and we only have a couple years to do that

 

If BN wins 8 this season, he stays. But I don’t see us winning that many games.

 

It didn’t appear to me that Finebaum led Griffith into the UF coaching situation discussion. Griffith brought it up and when Finebaum pressed him a little about the validity of his statements he equivocated.
I’m not a Finebaum fan AT ALL, but I credit him for pressing Griffith to justify his comments. I do appreciate Griffith’s words about Spurrier and Doering’s love and commitment to UF.

I posted on here last year that around the time of the LSU game I had spoken to one of the people who would be raising said money and they told me that if they didn’t like what they saw from Napier in 2024 they would fund this and make a change. Perhaps folks thought I was BS-ing but I wouldn’t have posted it had I doubted that the person I was talking to was legit or that he wasn’t sincere. I wouldn’t want to be mocked here on GC.
