We need to work on the muscles between the ears. Players not lined up where they should be, late hit penalties, busted coverages, running incorrect routes, etc. We have mental issues, not physical.

If you did no other strength training than squats, your whole body would still get stronger. Plus, squats are so hard that if you do them regularly, you'll be tougher.

I’ll bet Florida’s and Georgia’s strength programs are pretty much interchangeable.

And we were the finesse team in that matchup. Oh yeah, Tommie Frazier out-finessed us when he broke tackle after tackle on that embarrassing long TD run where everyone on the defense had a hand on him.

Sure, Tommy Frazier, by dint of his 500 lb bench press, just threw our players off. Getting serious, there was no want in our players. They thought they had him stopped and nobody wrapped up. Watch the replay.

I fixed my post, I meant that the pushing sled worked for the entire team and did work well at the end of every practice we had all year long. And yes, squats are the best single workout that there is... especially for football.

Florida played scared. They weren't as physical or as mentally tough as Nebraska.

Being stronger due to S&C would've made them tougher, not a change of subject. Florida was the finesse team in that game and it showed they werent as physical as Nebraska. And, they were scared. I even saw Reidel Anthony say so when speaking about after Jacquez got hurt. You just like to argue.

They were not bigger and stronger. We had players on our team who could bench press houses. So much for your argument.

That's as ignorant as the guy who said Ohio State had fast players, too, when I told him Florida was too fast for them. Then we boat-raced them for the National Championship. We had a handful of guys who were strong, but Nebraska's entire team was much stronger than ours. If what you're saying is that the players didn't want it enough, then you're saying that SOS didn't have them ready. Which is it?

Nebraska had a finely tuned PEDs program going on under Osborne I suspect similar to what is happening up in Athens right now.

Exactly, and Nebraska was well known for that. They went the same route as all world player Tony Mandarich after those in charge got serious about testing for PEDs.

Always amused when people criticize the strength program for specific workouts. Guarantee these guys do all the same compound movements every program does. Now if someone claims they aren't pushed as hard as a different staff that may be true but again, one would have to be in the lockeroom or practice to attest to that.
