There’s Lways hope but getting dem by puppies is what happened last year. He only has ole Miss talent so it’s not an even playing field. I’d give him to atbleastbyearvygree to stack equal talent but he can’t lose like Napier. That’s just unacceptable.

He's not winning 7 games. We have 10 games left. He'd have to go 7-3 from here, essentially running the table against the non-Top 10 teams and beating one of the Top 10 teams. What has he shown that doesn't lead us to believe he will drop a couple of games to the marginal SEC teams on the schedule? Of course, he will. We are not going to run the table of TAMU, UK and LSU.

The most likely scenario is we finish 3-9 or 4-8 on the season.

No chance 5 wins buys him another year.

That’s the requirement at UF! SOS set the bar years ago.

And he was trying to win national championships but only got one. He was in the conversation though.

I don’t see the top 10 win. We could win the others though . Start by looking better Saturday

Oh, okay, so the minimum standard is SOS. We've known that since 2002...

Minimum standard is looking like there’s a chance.

Not what you said. Even Zook had a chance, going 6-2 in the SEC twice.

Since SOS left, we had six head coaches, and probably be working on #7 before the year is out. What highly successful coach would even WANT to come here if his minimum standard is "SEC championship or bust?"

We are not beating LSU or FSU. Both of those teams are lined with stud athletes and will abuse a Billy Napier led team all day and night. There’s 7 losses. Convince me we can go 4-0 against TAMU, UK, UCF and Miss State. Truth is 3-1 against that lot would be somewhat a surprise. 3-9 or 4-8 is the likely outcome with Bill Napier at the helm.

I laid out what I think he needs to do to keep his job. If he does it, he should keep his job. If he doesn’t, he shouldn’t. Whether or not I think he will is irrelevant

If Billy fails this year you really think the odds of Billy becoming successful is greater than any random coach we can hire? Let alone a well qualified one?

If Billy wins less than 8 this year I can think of 50 coaches I’d feel more confident in to produce a better 2026-2028 season.

Sticking with failure because the alternative also may fail is a pretty shitty strategy

But I’m hoping he wins 8 and turns his career around

6 wins is tough because we stink. Tbe schedule has balanced out somewhat. A middle of the road SEC team gets 6 wins easily with our schedule. We should be expecting better than middle of the road in year 3
