Two more charges dismissed in Georgia.

More Charges Dismissed in Trump's Georgia Case (townhall.com)

    It's turning into lawfare failure:

A Georgia judge has dismissed two criminal counts in the election interference case against former President Donald Trump, according to Thursday's court filing.

Judge Scott McAfee found that Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis did not have the authority to bring those charges, which accused Trump of filing false documents in federal court and conspiracy to commit filing of false documents. Those accusations were under federal jurisdiction, McAfee ruled.

"President Trump and his legal team in Georgia have prevailed once again," Trump's attorney Steve Sadow said in a statement shared with Townhall. "The trial court has decided that counts 15 and 27 in the indictment must be quashed/dismissed."

One other count (Count 14 - Criminal Attempt to Commit Filing False Documents) was also tossed out against allies of the former president, who were charged alongside Trump in the sprawling indictment.

More today on J6 lawfare failing:

NEW: DOJ Is Dropping Nearly Half of the J6 Obstruction Charges – RedState

On September 9, the D.C. Circuit vacated the convictions of 11 J6 defendants under § 1512(c)(2), including that of Guy Reffitt, who was convicted by a jury in March 2022.

Not only that, but the DOJ has now dropped the obstruction charge in nearly half of the pending J6 cases, and declined to oppose motions to dismiss or vacate the charge in almost a third of the cases that were already adjudicated.

Moreover, the DOJ continues to evaluate many of the remaining cases, so there may well be additional instances where the charges are dropped.

Notably, the DOJ has not dropped the obstruction charge against former President Donald Trump. Its superseding indictment still includes the § 1512(c)(2) charge.

The charge against Trump will be dropped too, immediately after the election. Yep, it's election interference and continued lawfare failure.

So your criminal should have been charged for these crimes in federal court instead of state court?

Totally exonerating for your convicted felon.

The 8 in Georgia will be dismissed too, probably by the Appeals Court as the dork judge who used to work for Fani won't do it. All of these state cases that should have been federal cases that the DOJ did not want to prosecute should have been in federal court. The Georgia judge said as much in dropping two charges. It's true for NY as well.

All of these historical state cases have one common theme, the Biden Administration DOJ orchestrated the cases, and all were opened to get Trump in an unprecedented attack on the opposition, election interference by the democrats.

In NY, the second ranking DOJ official took a position in Braggs office, a demotion, so he could handle the prosecution.

In Georgia, the lead investigator who was diddling with Fani Willis had to be let go for conflict of interest. WH logs show he had several meetings with Biden Administration officials.

Jack Smith has no authority as an illegally appointed special council and he has no authority to amend and bring additional charges.

Merchan will get overturned if matters get that far and it is likely that the sexual abuse case will get overturned as well, hope that Jean Carroll woman that Trump didn't have sex with, or rape hasn't already spent the $ she isn't going to get.

Bottom line, all of these lawfare cases against Trump are going down the toilet.

The good thing about the J6 defendants is this is justice for relief from the Biden Administration weaponized DOJ that is long overdue. These folks weren't rioters, the ones who did riot were punished, but lots of innocent folks have had their civil rights crushed and lives destroyed by this abuse of power in the weaponized DOJ. Many of the people were tracked down using confidential information that was illegally given to the DOJ by credit card and internet companies for tracking purposes. The FBI with guns drawn like at Mar-A-Lago showed up 20 strong beating down the doors of private homes and aimed guns at family members as they dragged defendants who were denied their civil rights out to jail. It has been a despicable time of abuse of power, and it all falls on the democrats.

In the middle of reading a book that I think you would like:

    Name: The Hope
    Author: Herman Wouk

The Hope is an historical fiction starting with the 1948 Israel/Arab War when Israel won its independence through the 1967 Israel/Arab War.

Wouk was a terrific author before he passed away a few years ago, 2019 I think. I can also recommend his books The Winds of War and War & Remembrance, both historical fictions.

Trump is charged under the Georgia RICO Act of trying to interfere in a state-held election. The falsification of records is something that happened on a level outside of just Georgia, but can you explain to me why interfering in a state election should be charged as a Federal crime instead of a state crime?

Similar, in NY, the charges Trump were convicted were state crimes of falsification of state records. The records applied to NY State only, which is why it wasn't a Federal case. The case was upgraded from a misdemeanor to a felony because Trump falsified the records to hide a separate crime. That separate crime was election related to an election held in all 50 states, which is why, if tried, that case would be Federal. But NY state law doesn't distinguish the jurisdiction of the 2nd crime committed to upgrade charges to a felony, nor does it require an actual conviction, let alone indictment. Trump's 34 felonies in NY will likely not be overturned.

In the Docs case, it's Judge Cannon who will likely be overturned. Her ruling isn't based in any legal precedent or law. But her ruling stands for now.

I'll take that bet. You don't understand anything about the cases, the applicable law, the various rulings....nothing, zilch.

Fine. The loser has to put a signature line acknowledging being wrong and specifically using the word lawfare for 1 month. Deal?

The Dems know this was all just for time... money and diversionary reasons. Some actually thought he would go to jail over these trumped-up charges. No pun intended. Some really naive people still hold out the possibility of CCP commie "justice" jail time.

Celebrating that his crimes were federal and not state lol.

But the other 20 some odd counts remain pending in state court.
