Jackass, power-tripping cops who enjoy escalating situations instead of de-escalating them definitely won’t let you do this. Which is why their asses immediately got taken off the street and shamed by even their fellow cops.

I may be mistaking but I thought the reason for the charges being dropped was because she was also said to be abusive and it was believed that the hit to the chest was with boxing gloves when Hill was teaching his son to "box".

There was no evidence of abuse and the NFL even dropped its investigation. And as any NFL fan knows the NFL is often much harder on these cases than the actual law is. (Ask Deshaun Watson.)

Im not white knuckling for anybody...but I also know that Tyreek is a bad boyfriend/husband in the faithfulness department and that can sometimes lead to angry accusations out of hurt.

I have no idea what happened then, but I do know that what happened on that road was policing at it's worst. And nothing that happened Sunday should have led to anything close to that

"Walk up"? They were the required distance away. Multiple fans were standing/walking much closer. Florida has a 25ft buffer law. I did not see anyone violate that.

He had every right to roll his window up after giving them his license, that’s not against the law. Once they had his license and information the cops had 2 options: A) write him his ticket and keep it moving or B) be a jackass and escalate the situation by yanking him out of his car and onto the scorching hot pavement. Naturally, the jackass cops chose to do what jackass cops do, and here we are.

The window thing is silly too. Hill rolls the window down within 10 seconds of being told too and then immediately after being told the second time (which was only like 7 or 8 seconds). The cop then says Keep it down or I will get you out of the car, but then changes his mind and says nevermind get out now.

One of the body cams shows a cop saying "It's Tyreek Hill". Just before they pull him out. So the cops pretty much know who he is and why he is in front of the Stadium and know he isnt a threat.

Someone can correct me, but I also believe that Florida has no law against keeping your window up providing you give the officer the document they ask for (license).

Why are you still standing there anyway?
He gave you his license. Generally that is when you walk back to your car/bike to write the ticket.

Why was this cop just standing there making Hill roll his window down?

    The whole thing "'Reeks".

My guess is my wife would have been given more than 10 seconds before being yanked from her car and thrown to the pavement.

...and THAT is what this story amounts too, regardless of anything Hill did in his past.

One of the main reasons being a cop isnt like being an accountant is that very few power-tripping psychos see accounting as a way to settle scores and feel important with near total immunity

I would think when a car with tinted windows is pulled over, a cop, for safety sake, will always have the driver keep the window down especially during the initial encounter. That is an obvious safety measure for the police and is not an unreasonable request.

Again, the lead cop was way overzealous and escalated the situation. But so did Tyreek Hill by not doing what the officers told him to do.

Another reason it’s not like being an accountant is ultimate accountability. An accountant doesn’t get to say “I feared for my life, that’s why I screwed badly up while doing my job” and actually have it fly.

He rolled his window down and complied with the license request. If the cop felt any danger, it was only because he kept standing there instead of doing what most cops do and walk back to write the ticket.

My dad has been a Sheriff Chaplain for 2 decades. I have very good friends in LE. Our elected Sheriff sat in my parents dinning room for their 50th anniversary. I am often the first to give LE the benefit of the doubt.

This was a screw job from the start

    Lying about the speed.
    Lying about the turnpike.
Forcing his window down after he complied with his license.
Yanking him out and placing a knee to his back for taking 10 seconds.
The treatment of other players who identified themselves and were trying to alert Dolphins security and Tyreek's legal representative (Rosenhaus) via phone.

    It is indefensible.

You justifying the police officers’ behavior is what’s ridiculous.

It's legal in Florida once you have complied and given them the requested documents attached to their reason for the stop... And it was a total of 10 seconds. The cop then gave him zero seconds after he did roll the window down.

ZERO reason for the cop to just stand there like that and zero reason for so many cops to immediately show up all at once.

Jock sniffers trying to make a name.

Hope the one dude in particular enjoys his new role working security at the rodeo for the Desoto County Sheriff's office in Arcadia.

You are looking at that in a vacuum. This was the stop of a McLaren in broad daylight for civil infractions (no suspicion of criminal activity) at a professional football stadium on game day. I suspect the number of officers shot in similar situations is ZERO.

Hill rolled down his window and presumptively handed the cop his paperwork. At that point the cop normally runs the tag, the DL and checks the driver for warrants before starting on the citations. The cop did NOT tell Hill to keep his window down, there was nothing preventing him from rolling it back up. The cop did order him to roll the window back down and he should have complied. The law does allow cops to order occupants of a vehicle to exit it even during routine traffic stops for officer safety. Absent some exigent circumstance (such as reaching for a weapon), Hill should have been given a reasonable amount of time to do so. That didn't happen.

Assessing fault on the asshole meter:
    Hill: 2
    Cop: 9

He did roll it down. He then gave the officer what he requested. At that point the officer should begin processing the license and writing the ticket. The officer just standing there knocking on the window was just trying to flex.

He gave you his license. Go write his ticket.

Jackass cop had a long history of being a jackass. What a surprise. In no other profession can you be suspended, disciplined, reprimanded this many times and still keep your job.
