Trinity Thomas joins Simone Biles Gold Over America Tour 2024:

Gold Over America Tour - Home

I'm surprised to see the college gymnasts commit to this. If they are there for the whole tour, they will have to miss the fall semester.

The name I'm surprised that isn't on the list is Shilese Jones who before her injury that took her out of the Paris Olympics was performing #2 in the US behind Simone Biles and #3 in the world behind Simone Biles and Rebecca Andrade of Brazil. I find it difficult to understand how she is skipping this tour and choosing not to attend college. Something is amiss with Shilese and I don't know what that something is.

Dani Ferris is at the top of the list, definitely a 3-event performer in 25:

10 Sophomores Set to Shine in 2025 - College Gym News

    Danie Ferris (Florida)

Ferris was the second highest rated recruit in the class of 2023 and was highly anticipated for her contributions on vault and floor. Unfortunately, Ferris was injured during the preseason last year which led to a slow start to her career. She was able to get healthy enough to compete on vault to start the season, but it took about a month for her to start landing her Yurchenko one and a half consistently and another month to add floor to her program. Ferris may have only had five floor routines in 2024, but due to her slow ramp-up, we can expect to see her compete the event more in 2025. She could also potentially add in bars where she scored as high as a 9.9 in level 10.

While football did poorly again in The Swamp, 5 UF teams celebrated SEC championships:

    (2) Gators Gymnastics on X: "Five #Gators teams celebrated 2023-24 conference titles at halftime Saturday ‍♀️‍♂️‍♀️‍♀️ Congrats to ‍♀️ on 6⃣th consecutive #SEC regular-season championship #GoGators | ‍♀️ https://t.co/UWqQ8APG8V" / X (twitter.com)

Among the 5 teams celebrated at halftime was the 24 gymnastics team for winning their 6th consecutive regular season SEC championship.

What CJR did in the 24 season with one of the youngest teams in college team gymnastics was nothing short of amazing. That the SEC gave the co-SEC COY award to LSU and Kentucky based on regular season performance was ridiculous. UF beat LSU at home and followed that up with beating the mildcats at UK to win the regular season SEC championship.
