Can we be in a low scoring game? What’s the lowest we’ve held a sec opponent to. Vandy doesn’t count and neither does 1954

 

Do you think the guys paying buyout had anything to do with approval of the original contract and selection of the coach? Perhaps they had more say so than an AD or anyone else might have. The guys paying the money do have a bigger voice I would think.

I guess it depends on what low means these days, Tennessee was a low scoring game last year, Utah and FSU were also low. Wegman hasn't thrown the ball well, so I thibk they come out and try to control the ball and run it. Which they could do to us what UK did last year, but I think pup and Shemar might be able to hold up against a traditional between the tackle run game. That would require them to both get 50 snaps each, which may not happen either. I don't get why pup and Shemar aren't getting 90% of the snaps, but that's another conversation.

TAMU will make Mertz beat them with his arm. If he played like in the SC or Missouri game, we are competitive with TAMU. But, I don't know what version of Mertz shows up, or how porous the defense plays. I wouldn't bet money on this game, because BN has not instilled confidence in his coaching. Crap, he still is incompetent with the playclock, and that was against Samford! We have watched three years of clock mismanagement, and it's gotten no better!
