EPL. We get more games than the English do and the environments remind me of The Swamp in the 90s. Real, fan-driven passion. It's now my favorite sport.

They (meaning the power brokers of college football) will fix it. It’s not NIL that’s ruining the game, it’s the no recourse on transferring as many times as you want and the ability to play immediately.

The integrity of college football officiating has been in the toilet since before The Swindle. You’d think such a glaring exposure of cheating and bias would have sparked some major changes - like doing away with conference-affiliated refs for starters. But nothing has changed. It’s as crooked as it ever was. There’s no price to pay when they get caught. Of course the gold standard for crooked refs will always be The Swindle

 

Yeah, with 50x the crowd, no piped in music (because they don't need fake hype), no commercials and fans running the entire show. Not dilettantes giggling and playing with their phones (College Football now).

 

It's mostly free. You get 5 or so games a weekend and they're all over by noon. Beats lame ass pre-game shows.

There aren't any debs in the Swamp anymore. Place is a funeral parlor compared to the SOS years (pre phones). People just chatting and talking and playing with their phones. If you wanted to "have a conversation" back in the day you had to cup your hands and shout in the ear of the person next to you.

it also isn’t a safe space for those tired of college players transferring. Players switch teams all the time…transferred, loaned, signed, borrowered, what have you. I was very surprised at how much player movement there is.
