I rated this optimistic because I do not see a SENSE OF URGENCY being imparted to this team to incorporate emotional impetus like "rival", or "beat us in our house", etc. People that want to be "process" types believe nonsense like "getting up for (insert rival here), or grudge matches, or in-state hate, are superfluous to their "process". They seem to unshakably believe that if you follow their "process" the results take care of themselves. Such people, seemingly, fail to appreciate that sport, like combat, is not necessarily a "process" thing. It surely has 'processes' needed to produce victory, but it's a deeply human endeavor, and humans tend to throw "processes" out the window many times, and need something more dynamic, like emotion, dedication, passion, to substitute for "process" shortcomings.

 

Yeah, I'm usually the last one on the "fire the coach bus" but our performances in the winnable games have me very concerned.
I can think of 3- I'm sure there are more...

And not to re-state, but we looked good against Mizzou and some other quality teams.
Spurrier wasn't a big rah-rah guy, but his letdown games were few and far between.
