Yep that's why they continue to support the right wing groomers that are in Washington and will vote for them again

Anyone who still believes Republicans are "the party of fiscal responsibility" lives in a fantasy world. Republicans outspend Democrats every single time they are elected. Clinton reduced the deficit he inherited from Bush I, Obama reduced the deficit he inherited from Bush II, Biden reduced the deficit he inherited from Trump... Those are verifiable facts.

Billy Bob was drug kicking and screaming to not spend like a drunken sailor by a republican Congress. Barry was checked by a pub majority, after the bailout of "too big to fail", and the WOT blew Bush II's numbers through the roof. Trump's numbers were blown up to cartoonist proportions due to Covid, while Biden passed the multi-trillion dollar "inflation reduction (AMPLIFCATION ON STEROIDS) Act" ( really the Chicom national suicide enviro fsscist plan) with mostly Dummyrat support, and some GOP support--of his own (Ok, Beijing’s) volition.

So bullshit as to your insinuation that the Chicom puppet party is the party of fiscal responsibility.

Sadly, touche that the GOP is pretty weak and limp wristed about it.

But as bt the 2, GOP > Dums vs a vs fiscal not as stupidity/drunken sailor.

So what you're saying is that the Groomer Party only cares about spending when there is a Dem POTUS.

More like dems *WANT TO* spend like drunken sailors, while pubs spend like dems when there's a crisis or conflict.

Point of order, the 1993 omnibus bill that started the ball rolling on our path to a budget surplus was passed without a single Republican vote. Kind of hard to say Republicans dragged him kicking and screaming to it, considering they all voted against it when he was pushing for it.

1993 was the one with Billy Bob's tax hike. It ran a more deficit and increased spending. The balanced budgets didn't come until after '95, which was after the Gingrich who stole Christmas's Contract with America was adopted, which forced Billy Bob to back off of his desire to spend like a drunken sailor (with a plan to put US Healthcare under his wife's control, under a panel thar would have been run by her, and like 500 of her closest lawyer pals).

bc... Congress controls the purse strings.

You're timeline is as off as your general understanding of the facts.

    Here's a fresher for ya:

Nah. He's in the tank for the ruskies, remember? You got your wires crossed.

Though I do agree with the current lynch mob (indulging in its latest Trumpgasm du jure) that it's a silly idea, bc the premise is a joke--bc we're funded by debt, and owe about as much as Canada is worth.

Seems the idea requires a surplus of money, which we're only about 36 Trillion dollars short of achieving.

Maybe we conquer Mars with our nascent Space Force, and sell it's resources to the Venusians, Mercurians, and/or the Jupiterians ...

Revisionist history. The HW Bush years averaged an increase in spending of 7% per year. The Clinton years never had an increase of more than 6% in any year, and averaged only a 3% increase. The deficit started declining before the Republicans took over Congress in 1994. Clinton's first two budgets showed as much restraint in spending as did the budgets after Republicans took over Congress. Historical Tables | OMB | The White House

Clinton is morally bankrupt and I disagree with his politics, but arguing that the Republicans forced him to limit spending is an argument that is not supported by the facts.

But Clinton wasn't the most fiscally conservative president in modern times. Both Obama and Biden actually cut budgets. Obama had four years when the budget was lower than the previous year, and Biden has done it twice. LBJ in 1965 was the last president to actually cut the budget.

The GQP cuts taxes under a fantasy they pay for themselves while blowing up spending often on crises they themselves create i.e Iraq.

What do you think social security is? Only who knows how that tax earns money for those that pay into it...

Bush wanted to let people invest some of the SS in the stock market...

By the way, Norway has a great sovereign wealth fund which pays them money from oil and gas sales. The last time I read about it, every person was worth an extra 250K or there about.

If we got a piece of the money that we get off tariffs... What the freak not? That's free money for We The People, and I don't care what the liberals think about it... and why they think in makes everything more expensive... That depends on whether you buy those products or not. Things we just fine and cheap when Trump made China pay billions on tariffs once before, and I never say prices go up on anything.

If it really is a sovereign wealth fund, then I would not let the federal government manage it. That might be the only thing that makes it un Constitutional, or Socialist... like the social security system already is.

My point wasnt about the merits of the policy just that this is a giant step toward socialism from the leader of the GOP and you actually spent a decent part of your post considering it only because someone who claims he is a Republican suggested it. Seems like utter blind loyalty to me. Try splashing cold water on your face. Its just a political party moniker now, its not even a governing idea.

He is on record defending a woman's right to choose, against the Clinton impeachment and stating the economy does better under dems. He's a con man first and for-most, and found the party that he could easily become a chameleon. These mages have always been out there, and my money says they never voted before 2016.

I understand that there is a difference between being subjugated to a totalitarian government and taking pages of profit sharing that the government may have made possible is confusing for some... and it might even blur the lines of what true Capitalism means... But we're NOT talking about government ownership or control of these funds, and that makes it more likely to be Constitutional than if the government had overnight and control of these funds.

All we're doing is agreeing to is letting our government make collecting these funds possible, just like is several other countries around the world do. They cannot own it, and they cannot be in control of it once it's allocated to the citizenry. It passes the Capitalism smell test. :D;)
