Does it ever bore you to keep on bashing Napier? Just curious.

I mean, isn't there something else you can talk about?

Weren’t you in your other thread praising Kiffin for his game against Furman or something? Not sure you can do that and say Samford doesn’t count.

I’ll say something positive then. I’m positively ecstatic about pissing off your Ole Miss friends and poaching their head coach. I can already smell the healing.

They have also given up a total of 257 passing yards through 2 games, making their opponents 1 dimensional. It's the dimension that BN would rather have, but that is always a uphill climb.

Being able to throw downfield opens up everything. Without it, you lose games to good teams. I think with Lagway we win, with Mertz we lose, and with both we lose. Go Gators!

Never want to give up this early on the Gators. He'll waited long time for season to start.
If you block well you don't need 100 plays. Give me 10 pass plays 5 running plays well blocked and you can do well

I hope BOTH Mertz and Lags play this Saturday.

As far am I'm concerned...Mertz can & should start, as the only reason he didn't play against Samford was his injury. He was not "benched".

We saw our 3rd string QB come in on the last drive against Samford - and get a TD.

It's in our best interest to have game experience with ALL THREE QB's.......and use them in whichever way suits us best for winning games.

The game consist of FOUR quarters.....plenty of time for a competent head coach and OC to work with these parameters.

I just hope that Lags is OK after that targeting hit last night......

I wasn't really praising per se, but there is a difference in leading Furman at halftime by 7 points more than what we scored against Samford for the entire game. There is a difference between scoring 52 points on Furman in the 1st half and scoring 14 points against Samford in the 1st half.

I’m assuming you’re talking about something other than the loss to Miami.

TAMU can’t stop the run so we need to go to Trell and Baugh early and often. Their pass defense so far looks to be pretty solid although they haven’t gotten to the QB much. Scourton and Howell are their edge players to watch out for. Shemar Turner and Shemar Stewart are also very solid DL. OL will have its work cut out for them.

On defense we need to force Weigman into some poor throws and keep them in passing situations every drive. Don’t let them run on us with Moss and Daniels.

Another big game this Saturday in The Swamp.

It’s either the Miami loss or the dumb gaffe he had about fans in their moms’ basements. Nothing else has happened so far as we know.

I'm going to be positive. If next Saturday we lose the seventh of the last eight games, the sun will still come up on Sunday. I won't see it from my basement (the light would be blinding), but as a UF grad I know my physical science.

I will say this: DJ looked phenomenal, and whoever called the plays absolutely botched some of them. Case is point, the wildcat formation. The OL is not very good, and BN et al should have known it would not work. On paper, we should beat TAMU. Sadly, BN alters what will happen. I have seen, enough (personally) that DJ deserves a better coach. It's time to smell the coffee!

Lagway. He has a efficient deep ball and his legs mean the Def can't stack the box. It also helps limit the deficiencies of our OL.

I agree with you! I think Kiffen knows his future is not Ole Miss. Mississippi is not a recruiting hotbed, and Kiffen knows that. Not sure, though, that UF will hire him. We will have to see what the future shows, but I think this is BN's last season. The level of play gets faster, and I doubt DJ can handle the better defenses, yet!

I think there's a chance that UF can pick up some wins and feel better about themselves the next few weeks. A&M I expect to be a low scoring 1 score game, so it's there for the taking. UK looks beatable and I kinda wonder if Stoops is gone this year, after flirting with A&M in the off-season I wonder if the team doesn't quit on him after a couple more bad games. I don't think it's crazy to think UF could be 3-1 going into the bye week before UCF. I'm not saying it saves Napier, I think it could certainly be fools gold, but there's some winnable games coming up. 4-3 or 5-2 is possible going into bye week before UGA. I'm not betting on it, but if we can get a win against A&M we are probably favored against Miss state, UCF, and UK.
