the running game also benefits when you have the ability and willingness to throw the deep ball.

Trying not to overreact but he just looks like a star QB. He plays with confidence and swagger.

Unfortunately, I feel this season will be his selling pitch for the portal. Napier had 2 years to get this program ready for a gift like DJ and he failed.

Wow! What a great first full game for DJ. Man, he throws a smooth pass. Awesome night distributing the ball. Wideouts looked really good also while fighting for the close ball. Only bad decision I saw was the mid/deep throw into triple coverage. But hey, he was feeling it last night and the D was looking pretty good too. Secondary needs to get better though still, a lot of Samford receivers too open. Did'nt like seeing DJ get the helmet to helmet hit.... Need him to stay healthy as long as he can. Great attitude to be back in there. Way to go to Warner also, (GO WILDCATS).

    GO GATORS!!!!

Dike seemed to have a better eye and a faster step than recent return guys.

Wilson seemed to be double and even triple covered at times. I think they thought he was our only decent receiver.

My favorite part is his ability to anticipate and throw to space. We saw Cam Ward do a masterclass of it the week before.

Watch the shot into triple coverage to trey. Placed in a spot where despite 3 defenders only Trey could have caught the ball. Am I advocating for throws into triple coverage, of course not.

Distributing the ball to everyone, down field passing all make things a lot easier for the O. Hopefully our guys can create separation against better teams but at the moment, nobody can focus on just 1 receiver now.

At the end of the 2nd QTR when there was nothing open and he threw the ball out of bounds quick is not a normal thing for a true freshman in his fist start to do. Seems like he’s got a pretty good football IQ and feel for the situation.

What shocked me the most was the accuracy of Lagway's long passes. The first TD throw just plopped down into the receivers extended hands. OK, I thought that was a lucky pass/catch, but the next 2 were just the same, like he had a gps for guidance. That game was thrilling which is something we haven't seen in years.
