he likely didn’t pull Lagway because Lagway needs all the time he can get to develop. Staff is likely not concerned with developing a walk on transfer from Yale who will only ever play in blow outs just like we saw last night. Lagway needs the reps to develop.

DJ can nullify some of that on one side of the ball but he is still very young and it’s a lot to ask. I’d like to see him get the experience for next year but I also don’t want him thrown to the wolves and getting hurt. Not getting hurt can also be on the qb to understand when to get rid of the ball. So many qb’s get hurt trying to extend every play when they should just get rid of it and go to the next down and rely on their arm more.

Emotion has nothing to do with it. I watched the OL have issues vs Samford, and get obliterated by Miami.

DL got no penetration and almost no pressure vs Miami, better showing vs Samford.

Can we stalemate vs aTm or even win, sure. I just don't expect we will.

Just can't approach the game with that mindset, anyone can get hurt on any play, or in practice as we saw last week.

As a qb, you can control how many hits you take. Tua is a great example of someone who continues to get hurt extending plays when he should at times take a page out of Brady’s book and accept 2nd and ten and line up again. Every play for a qb can’t be played with the mentality of a middle linebacker. Andrew Luck busted some linebackers asses but retired very young because he didn’t rely on that golden arm as much as he should have.

Yes, lagway got thrown out their for his first start but my major concern is this:
We got our buts whooped against miami, not a single positive note from that game, and we come out to play an terrible Samford football team at home and we
are only up 14-0 at half?
Turnovers are part of the game, you have to protect the football, so Napier's comment "should have been 21-0" is wrong -- should of, could of, wasn't -- can't speak in "ofs"
Again you have a week to prepare and destroy this team and your first half possessions are:

6 plays, 20 yards loss on downs
    4 plays, 86 yards TD
    4 plays, 72 yards fumble
    5 plays, 70 yards TD
    3 plays, 4 yards punt
8 plays, 32 yards loss on downs, half

For prep for the remainder of the season, we should and need to score on every possession -- I fear what did work against Samford, will not work against SEC opposition.
