    DJ Lagway had a great game . . . putting on a show.

    Let's celebrate the win and DJ doing so well as just a baby freshman.

    Speaking of that, Shawn Kelly asked (on the radio broadcast) about the QB question for next week . . .

    Shane said: Expect no announcement this week about anything. Make TAMU prepare for more. DJ played extremely well tonight. He loved the deep balls DJ threw to our speedster WRs. Both will likely play.

    Tate Casey said: He can see where Shane is coming from . . . but keep in mind the OL played better tonight, the WRs played better too. Best case is we have two really, really good and capable QBs. Should give a lot of confidence as a coach and play-caller going forward.

    Sean Kelly said: Now you know. We have 2 great QBs.

    Shane added: TAMU has a really good D and their coach has a really good defensive mind.

    First win in 329 days for UF football. I think we have the QB of the future. I get that Samford lost to a West Georgia last week that put up 38 points on them but we needed some positive momentum preparing for TAM next week

    We are fortunate to have two QBs who by all accounts are both high character guys and want to be Florida Gators. Lagway has tremendously bright future if the Gators can get some coaching and build around him. His ability to throw the deep ball changes everything on offense.

    Good scrimmage, I think a few players got in some work against a pretty well coached team. Really like what DJ showed, he’s definitely good the goods.

    Did what we were supposed to do.. which hasn’t been a given lately.
    DJ looked like the real deal. Great arm talent. Cool Kat under pressure as well.
    Lots of things to fix/ correct. Still not loving the play calling.

    I got booted from the game thread because I said A&M would have afield day against or OL. I guess we all see different things. I blame the Bourbon. Im going back to Scotch.

    That’s what separates him. He hit guys in the hands running full speed down the field with easy to catch balls. Problem is, against better competition he might not be upright long enough to do it.

    Sean wanted to get to that discussion but a commercial, and a station ID kept pushing it off. He finally just had the conversation over a couple plays .. lol.

    I thought Shane and Tate were being diplomatic. Shane is concerned about DJ's intermediate game right now
