I agree Wanne, but just because paying the top coaches 9-10 mil a year and guarantee that for 10 years has become the norm it doesn’t mean it even approaches sanity.
Regardless of our opinion of the guy and his misdeeds he meets the written qualifications for his name to be up there. He deserves it IMO.

You do know Urban has never been an offensive coordinator? He went from being a Wr's coach to head coach. He has always had an OC that has gone on to become a HC.

I can go either way on it. I do question his integrity and that’s in the definition of honor. I think UF tries to keep a little integrity that some schools quickly cast aside if it means winning. Spurrier has always represented that ideal quite well. Tebow too.
It’s definitely some bs but it’s also a requirement to sign a top ten coach. List the top ten guys and none will even entertain anything different. It’s craziness but it’s also reality. Or take Chadwell. He may come for 6-7 mill with a smaller boyout. Kiff would have two years ago but his stock has soared into another realm. His next job will be a huge check if he wins 10 games this year and leaves. He’s losing a lot of players this year though and could be next years fsu. Each year contracts are more. 10 mil is the new 6 mil. Anyone that isn’t on that list you provided is a reach. Getting a guy on that list would require upping the ante. None of those guys are trading their situation for an emblem on a helmet.
We all wanted a CEO thought we were getting a CEO type. By staying OC and QB coach, we didn’t get a CEO and other things fall unnoticed. But hiring your LA Buds will fix it. Go Gators
What has Kelly done in the past to warrant interest in that man? LSU would love to have a do-over for a NEW HEAD FOOTBALL coach. He's LSU's problem, and I would flip-out if we hired that nothing coach. Not interested in him at all.
Disconnected from reality, emotionless, loves buzz words, process oriented, big picture future focused, golden parachute... sounds like a CEO to me.
