Does Trump come up with shiz like this and just spout it off, or is this somehow orchestrated?

    Neither answer is reassuring.

He is not a liberal by any measure but he was a Democrat and would be running as such but the Dems wouldn't have him.

Lol. So your argument is he was a conservative democrat?

He was a liberal. Gave coin to Hillary.

He is faking conservative to gain power and sadly my former party fell for it.

Trump thinks it can be paid for with tariffs, I wonder how Biden’s “braintrust” thinks it’s paid for?

In either case, incredibly stupid idea. When I think of “sovereign wealth funds” I think of China or the Saudi’s. Basically commies or Russian oligarchs with govt controlled business or corrupt oil cartel nations.

As far as meaningfully large funds, It’s almost all “shithole countries”. The funds don’t help the people in much of any way. Saudi spends billions paying off western golfers with no apparent ROI to anyone (only ROI is for the “royals” to sportswash their human rights abuses, and the golfers in exchange for payola essentially become unwitting agents of a foreign govt).

The only exception and non-shithole country near the top is really Norway, but the list I’m looking at on wiki notes it as their govt pension fund - which I don’t think of the same as a “sovereign wealth fund”. Strangely on the same list for the U.S. it included Alaska’s commie fund, but NOT CALPERS (huge $500B CA pension fund). I wonder why that distinction was made? Must be in how the funds are raised for Norway’s pensions?

I would argue he has no political ideology - thus the constant flip flops. Probably was a democrat because all the celebrities were.

Probably a better point than mine. But generally no ideology equals extremely liberal (as in anything goes) or even extremely libertarian (Also as in anything goes). People with no ideology make liberals look like centrists in some ways.

I think it's worse than that. They didn't fall or it. They sold their soul for it. Anything to "own the libs"! Winning is more important than ideals and platforms at this point.

Clearly, We have different ideas as to what a liberal stands for. He has never been a liberal. Any political donations were simply self serving as he gave to both sides.

I do agree with your last sentence tho, not really a conservative either. RINO!

And yet you vociferously support the party that is overtly hell bent on spending still more, ever more...

But I do appreciate and Tip my hat to you for pointing out the oft ignored Itty bitty facyoid, that we are in stupid debt.

Even if just this once, in passing, to get in yet another jab on Trump.
