His opponents were the State Treasurer and an attorney. Robinson is the incumbent Lt Governor and got endorsed by trump - decided advantages. As for my neighbors - I don’t know. I avoid talking politics although i enjoy their company at neighborhood bonfires/cocktail parties.

Reminds me of a trumpster friend I just had lunch with. He regularly throws out political comments to get a reaction, when it doesn't come, he says " it was a joke folks, lighten up" . Of course it's never funny.

But wonder if he can drop out or if there’s time for R’s to get another name on the ballot - only this week they had to print ballots without RFK’s name. Or if the R’s would try a write in campaign instead.

 

I actually read that it’s too late for him to drop out, but if he does, and the Republicans name a replacement, then any votes he get would go to the replacement. Doesn’t sound right, but I guess…

I mean, under what set of circumstances does the Republican Party say "Well sure, we backed him as a candidate when he engaged in Holocaust Denial, paid for abortions while advocating locking up women, helped run an abusive daycare for children, amongst all of the offensive things that he has said about gay people, civil rights leaders, Muslims, women, etc., but this is a step too far."

He called himself a "black Nazi" who supported slavery in comments on a porn site. He also said he liked transgender porn.

To be fair, he says someone went back in time and manufactured the whole thing. Sounds plausible.
