I saw the route, and it was lazy and easy to defense. I think we should give Mizell a chance to start.

I mean, from the time he began coaching the Gators as the head football coach. I don't count Duke...

He was bad at offensive play calling. It's also the reason why he was passed over for promotion to OC at Alabama.

This is the first series from them I couldn't watch all the way through. No shot at GNFP whatsoever. They do great work. However, I can't keep watching the same film over and over. How does no one on that staff see this stuff?

I'm convinced Billy is just looking for a golden parachute and wants to be fired. He wants to take his 28 million and retire on an island somewhere.

This IMO could have been the difference in beating F$U more during the 90-96 years and also Auburn in those back to back loss years (93-94 I believe)

He possibly would have had more MNC trophies as well.

    Still our best coach ever!

It’s looking that way. What he did last year is what he’s good at and hitting Pearsall on that same route over and over again was the only play he had past 10 yards.

Why? Did those guys lineup and play the next play? Think about it like this, if your dog shits in the house do you give them a treat?

My dad, brother, and I would yell at the tv for him to go shotgun. It was crazy. Innovative genius but stubborn as hell. Similarly, Urban was pretty stubborn at first but more quickly molded his offense to his then current players before he got all the pieces he wanted.

Seems like James was saying out WR’s we’re getting open but Mertz was making bad passes. Otherwise, predictable playcalling. He even gave kudos to our OL for giving Mertz a clean pocket early the game and Mertz was just holding the ball too long.

We don't let facts get in the way of our made up "Spurrier woulda" scenarios.

On one key play we literally ran montrell right past the DE as he was blowing up boardingham(I think). I would have much rather him help block the only free rusher than run a 5 yard stop.

The worst play I think I saw was a 3rd and 5 near midfield…Miami had 8 in the box and all near the LOS. Wilson and another WR wide right with only 1 defender and a deep safety. And we motion Wilson inside!

James said Florida had 39 “air yards.” Not sure what that means but it doesn’t sound good.

He means distance the football traveled in the air to the receiver past the LOS. So if we threw a WR screen that broke for a 50 yard gain, it would be a 50 yard pass play with 0 air yards. It basically shows we weren’t very good at completing passes downfield, but mostly complete short passes or passes behind the LOS.

I like GNFP's presentation, but he's been predictably negative (ironically). Waiting for Varnadore to come out. From what you all are saying, it sounds like we have the same QB problems. I love Mertz's heart but he's too deficient to be our QB. If that's the primary problem with the offense, then why didn't Napier get a new QB from the Portal?

I actually thought James was pretty evenhanded, giving credit where credit is due.
