FBI spoke to suspect and his father last year
The suspect was interviewed by local law enforcement in May 2023 after the FBI received “several anonymous tips about online threats to commit a school shooting at an unidentified location and time,” according to a joint statement from the FBI’s Atlanta office and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

The online threats included photographs of guns, the statement said.

“The father stated he had hunting guns in the house, but the subject did not have
unsupervised access to them,” the statement said. “The subject denied making the threats online.”

Clarify please, people who own guns are nuts? More than one or four? When does your parameters kick in to qualify as a gun nut? He had hunting rifles and probably shotguns. I haven’t heard the mention of the ominous AR/assault rifle babble yet from the media. Carry on Kreskin.

They always conveniently blame mental health when it’s a white kid committing a mass school shooting. Let it be about crimes being committed in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago etc and suddenly all that mental health talk goes out the window lol

A gun nut is someone that gets offended when someone else mentions the words "gun nut"

Someone on the den just posted that he lost a friend in this. Hopefully folks keep that in mind with what’s posted here.

Who are “they”? You do a lot of stereotyping and it is hard to know at time what group (or “they”) you are referring to. I am of the belief that that the 14 yr old should face life in prison and his parents should be charged with a serious charge also. Does that make me a “they”?

I really don’t see much hope for you. I would not say that to most here. But you have earned that sad reality.

Your partisan inability to look at human psychology is clearly apparent. Sad reality.

I see that the shooter is wearing a crucifix in both of the photos his aunt posted. Talk amongst yourselves.

So AR 15s/assault weapons are incorrectly maligned as used in mass shootings? Is that really the implication?

And we don’t have enough info to know if he or his family were gun nut weirdos, along with him being a psychopath which is known.

So apparently the shooter used an AR-15 or something similar. Question for the “gun enthusiasts” on the board - would that be considered a hunting rifle? Wondering if dad lied to the FBI in 2023.

    From WaPp:

Why didn’t Democrats curb gun laws when they controlled Washington from 2009 to 2010?

“Yes,” Sen. Bill Nelson (D-Fla.) said Wednesday when asked by CNN’s Jake Tapper if his party made a mistake in not acting. “When the Senate had 60 votes, as we did until Ted Kennedy died, that’s how we got the Affordable Care Act passed. And, yes, gun legislation under those circumstances should have been considered because there’d been a lot of massacres up to that point.”

As I recall there continued to be a handful of rural democrats that opposed gun legislation. Pretending like the democratic party is to blame for inaction is ridiculous which you've been doing on this thread.
