Should be interesting to see what kind of evidence the DOJ lays out related to Russia once again attempting to interfere in our elections, although this shouldn't be surprising to anyone who spends much time on X:

The Biden administration on Wednesday plans to accuse Russia of a sustained effort to influence the 2024 US presidential election by using Kremlin-run media and other online platforms to target US voters with disinformation, six sources familiar with the matter told CNN.

It’s expected the US will make a series of moves on Wednesday aimed at addressing the Kremlin’s efforts including the White House publicly condemning the actions and the Justice Department announcing law enforcement action targeting the covert Russian campaign, the sources said.

RT, the Russian state media network, is a major focus of the US announcement, the sources said. US officials see the Russian outlet as a key piece of Kremlin propaganda efforts.

The Russian disinformation operation is being laundered through both Americans and non-American voices, four of the sources said.

Does that mean you don't believe it's true that Russia is trying to influence the election and has done so in the past?

No. However, the Russians don't have the means or standing to do much of anything.

The Chinese on the other hand should be watched like a hawk.

Funny thing how the undemocratic party influences foreign election, Israel being one, and then bitches because some other country attempts to interfere here.

Russia, Russia, Russia (Marsha, Marsha, Marsha) is and has been proven to be a large pile of undemocratic party political crapola.

A perspective from across the Pacific Ocean in Australia:

Iranian, Russian and Chinese hackers are targeting the upcoming US election at an ever increasing pace (msn.com)

Why is the DOJ letting the Chinese and Iranians off the hook? Russia, Russia, Russia. LOL!

As the 2024 US presidential election creeps ever closer, hackers in Iran, Russia and China are stepping up their efforts to interfere in the outcome.

The US intelligence community blamed Iranian actors this week for the hack of Donald Trump's presidential campaign.

Vice-President Kamala Harris's presidential campaign also stated it had been the target of foreign hackers.

Other agencies, including social media giant Meta and Microsoft's threat intelligence body, have warned of an increase in election interference as voting day approaches. But the methods and motives of these increasing attacks vary from nation to nation.

Agree, the Russians have resurrected their 2016 playbook and right on schedule members of the Cult of the Donald will be referring to the Russia's strategy even after it was confirmed by Mueller as a hoax.

Not what you had mind although I agree the Vladimir and the boys have opened the same playbook that he used back in 2016. Putin would love to see the guy who essentially promised to hand him Ukraine on a silver platter back in office.
Trump calls Putin genius and savvy for Ukraine invasion

Russia is the most powerful nation on earth if only because it was able to throw the 2016 election with $400 of Facebook ads.

Because its political, not actual truth. The truth is kept TS or higher in the need to know. They spill these things to the media to stir up disinformation about their opponent.

Russia has already come out and declared that Kamala Harris is there preferred POTUS. Trump is the one throwing his weight around with bluster like he’s going to bully Putin and Zelensky to the table and knock their heads together.

Based on your posting history, and this announcement going after Russian propaganda sites, you may find yourself in the market for new sources of news soon.

It's not what Putin says it's what he does (or did) and Russia is using essentially the same playbook that it did in 2016. If Trump is elected he will go full on Neville Chamberlain and giving Chamberlain the benefit of the doubt he actually thought that Hitler would stop with his occupation of the Sudetenland. Putin will not stop with the Donbas and Crimea. He has made it clear that his goal is to reconstitute the Soviet Union/Russian Empire and Ukraine was an integral part of both the Soviet Union and the Russian Empire under the Czars.

You people *Ross Perot voice* pivot from heckling Russia with “Whatever happened to Kyiv in three days ?” to forebodings of Russia steamrolling across Europe.

Some further information on what the DOJ released today:

Of note, the Russian propaganda talking points being pushed include:
    • Risk of job loss to white Americans
    • Threats of crime coming from people of color and immigrants
    • Overspending on foreign policy at the expense of white citizens
    Any of that sound familiar?

Tim Pool and the other dimwits at Tenet Media got paid through Arab cutouts to espouse Russian talking points. Just like Trump does from his dearest Putie Pie.
