Since when does an American citizen need oversight to exercise his Constitutional First Amendment Right to free speech? Twitter, even before musk, was not the overseer of free speech. Sen. Communism at its heart is about a classless, stateless society and a revolutionary overthrow of the capitalist system. The abolition of private property and communal ownership of the means of production... Wanting a fairer society (in terms of social equality and prosperity) clearly doesn't mean the above sentence will come to bear. I find the repeated use of this really counter productive. As far as I'm aware Harris is supportive of capitalism (just with regulation where it's needed and social safety nets), she believes in democracy - not a dictatorship of the proletariat! - and she supports rights of the individual (extreme communism takes those away). She's quite clearly not driven by communist ideology! Calling her a Comrade might seem like fun; harmless political rhetoric, or an attempt to mischaracterise her policies, but to me, it just seems such an odd attack line aside of the alliteration. Conservatism isn't a bad platform for voters to fight on. The rapid rate of social change for one would surely be a vote winner for many, but it just feels like it's all about name calling and as Channing rightly points out, it's unproductive, childish and lowers the perception of what a political party (or news network!) should be. We should do better in politics and media - I daresay, it would really help the party to focus on policy. We're lucky not to have the same level of issue over here (although it's growing) because it's limited by parliamentary standards. Doesn't stop the networks and political activists doing it though.

We've had years to listen to her rhetoric for years... and she is not the supporter of Capitalism that people from outside the American news cycle really sees. Bottom line is she said it in 2019 about Trump so it gets even worse. She is opposed to free speech. In the 2020 election year, these services shutdown the President of the United States. To be defending this attack on free speech by Harris is absurd. Today, Musk the owner can't be told to be like other online services because the government wants to regulate what they deem to be disinformation, hate speech, or doesn't conform to the government line of acceptable thought. This is what separates the US from Canada and Europe. The US actually does have free speech and a constitution that protects the right. Per normal for socialists and communists, the undemocratic party will push the limits and ruin lives over use of free speech before cases reach SCOTUS to stop the unconstitutional conduct.
