It appears that after Saturday he has lost most of the fan base. I assume the $$$ boosters feel much the same way. Can he pull a rabbit out of a hat and save his own ass? Remains to be seen. Sure has a dead man walking vibe to it though. We all want the Gators to play quality football, to be competitive, and to win. Question is do we stick with CBN or pull the plug yet again and hire a new HC? As others have stated, if we go shopping, no active coach is going to talk to us this early in the season, so kind of stuck for now. Plus the Prez/AD thing. Go Gators!

If he wins 4-5 games, I think he stays.
But not b/c anyone believes he is the long term solution, rather, to buy some time to get everything in order.
    UF President
    AD
    GM
    NIL
    Revenue sharing
(All of these items require a lot of time to get right)

I hate the thought of making a quick decision before we're ready ... and we aren't ready. Now, if we lose to A&M, MSU and UCF -- make the move and pull the trigger.

Or if one of the top coaching targets expresses interest in coming here, pull the trigger. But I wouldn't trust a damn thing Jimmy Sexton says.

IMO - this is the worst possible time for Billy to lay an egg.

That's what I think. He will have gone through the "easier" or more winnable part of the schedule. If it's as poor as the first game indicates, I see no reason to not allow an interim the bye week to see if a fire can be lit under the remaining players.

I don't think he survives October, maybe even september.

He's a dead man walking at this oint.

    1. Bad at his job.
    2. Making no changes.
    3. Excuse after gaslighting excuse.
    4. And now attacking fans.

And hopefully Stricklin gets canned with him.

Yhe only hesitancy I have is wherther the BOT will allow an interim Pres to do this.

I think it’s been done. BN has the demeanor of a man who knows he is finished. There is no fire or fight in him..

Hindsight is 20/20, but it does look like he’s hitched his wagon on a horse headed off a cliff.

In today’s world, don’t feel sorry for them. They can transfer anywhere and play immediately…even petition for another year. I’m sure I’m going to get blasted for this, but if they performed, we wouldn’t be in this position to feel bad for them.

There may be $28 million reasons why he may be here in 2025, but if he does we may as well move down to division 2. There will be no one wanting to play for this crap show.

Are we still paying Mullen and Horse teeth still?

Do the people in charge even care about what we are as a football program? There is no way Florida should be ever ranked out of the top 20 teams in the country.

He needs to win 6-7 games now.

If he isn’t on that pace donors will dry up to the UAA, NIL $ will disappear, fans won’t go to games, fans that go to games will boo and wear brown bags, and we will get constantly shitty media attention.

What exactly is the upside? It’s an awful look for the University and the football program.

He needs to win 4 straight

I understand they are pros now, and I lead that charge to be honest. If for no other reason than self preservation as a program, can't have players not being coached. Princely literally said he wasn’t being taught and transferred, anyone worth a damn may start following that lead.

Stricklin is the wagon, not the horse, and he’s pulling the whole anthletic department over the cliff.

It would take a miracle to get him one more year, if what we saw is what is the team...again. The best case scenario for one more year would be that the new president needs to hire his new AD and that takes time. And the 2025 season would look both bad (few quality players and few fans in the stands) and futile.

Better scenario is that he is relieved of duties and we select an interim (Roberts?) to take over and he takes it through the 2025 season so that the new AD is selected.

Assuming there's any merit to what Princely thinks, which is certainly questionable, was he referring to the DL guy that got fired or Mike P?

If I’m not mistaken the UAA pays the coach and does the buyout. The President may have final say on a hire but the University doesn’t pay the majority of the salary.

At least that’s how I understand it to be.

And in a moment of greatness somebody had the bright idea to sit the recruits right by the UM fans and right by the UM tunnel.

    Can’t make it up..

Despite what many think the court of public opinion matters and his current PR is in the toilet.
Him seemingly trashing "rural central basement" types I do believe was meant not in the way everyone ran with it. You can't say that when

When it gets this out of control pretty much impossible to right the ship. Every pundit is just slaughtering him.

Obviously just a prediction, but damn how things can change and go south, quickly.
