Yes, Schwarzenegger was Governator till 2011. I voted for Meg Whitman over Jerry Brown in the 2010 Governors race. Can’t bring myself to vote for any Pub since Trump took over the party.

 

The state did elect Arnold Schwarzenegger as governor in 2006 although he would be considered a RINO by the standards of today's Trumpian Republican Party. In 2012 Obama beat Romney in California by a roughly 51% to 49% margin.

 

Arnold was quite progressive as governor, though, especially as a Republican. You won’t see that anymore nowadays from his party.

 

The Ronald Reagan who was elected governor of California twice probably couldn't get the presidential nomination in today's Republican Party. As governor Reagan signed into law the largest tax increase in the state's history which also resulted in the largest budget surplus in history, a gun control law banning open carry, and one of the nation's most liberal abortion laws before Roe v Wade legalized the procedure nationally. It was also under Reagan that California was granted a waiver by the EPA allowing it to impose the strictest automobile emission standard in the country.

 

I think Trump has in mind the passage in the Gospel of Matthew where Jesus goes into a polling place and drives out all the vote changers, calling the precinct "a den of thieves." As I recall, in an extrabiblical account of it, Jesus says, "Stoppeth the steal!"

Just this week, he’s reposted messages calling for his political opponents to be jailed, calling for a return of “public military tribunals” for people like former President Barack Obama, as well as making a graphic sexual joke about Vice President Kamala Harris and Democrat Hillary Clinton, his opponent in 2016. The repost of the sexual joke now appears to have been removed from Trump’s profile.

“How to actually fix the system,” one Truth repost read, with photoshopped images of Hilary Clinton, President Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, former Speaker Nancy Pelosi, former public health official Anthony Fauci, Microsoft founder Bill Gates and Harris all sitting in orange jumpsuits behind prison bars.

“Indict the unselect J6 committee sedition,” another reads, followed by “retruth if you want to lock them up.”

And one includes a screenshot apparently from X of a reply to a photo of Harris and Clinton that oral sex “impacted both their careers differently.”

Man, I feel so stupid now. I really thought Trump's rambling and idiotic comments were indicative of his being stupid and having no self control. But apparently he is just too brilliant for me to keep up with as he does "the weave."

At least he was kind enough to explain it to us in very humble terms.

I apparently also have a hearing problem because he sets the record straight that he "never mispronounces one word."



And here I thought the weave was what he was doing to hide this gigantic bold spot.
