Revisionists crap on his part... Mertz was running for his life all game long, and he missed wide open receiver because of it. Then he got concussed, and I'm sure the pet right tackle project of his had a lot to do with that. That 12 personnel with the tight ends we have is a joke, and he may as well just add a 6th lineman then put an "H" tight-end to block anyone worth their salt. May as well use another O-lineman instead of abusing his H-back.

One more thing, A defiant and insulting to the fan base, Billy, loses all the "charm" that a losing head football coach may have once been afforded... once upon a time.

Two-fold answer:

1. We’ve chosen the wrong person for the job 4 times in a row.

2. The job is a pressure cooker. You are paid too highly, given too many resources, and have access to too much in-state talent to keep looking like the backside of a mule in your third season. This is known to anyone who accepts the position. Problem is most can’t handle it.
