How could we afford a 400M stadium renovation, but not afford to pay a top tier coach? That's ludicrous.
I don’t know if they did or not, i didn’t get the impression they did. I was more or less asking if anyone else was surprised that he didn’t end up in the running for the job in Tuscaloosa.
Dude, you’ve been on fire the past couple of days. I don’t often laugh out loud at these posts, but my hat is off to you, sir. You’re making yesterday much easier to digest. Thank you.
For the folks who say “X isn’t coming here” - fine, but put a name out that might. My point being that we all know, and we do know, that Napier has failed and we will be getting a new coach. I’m not suggesting that we should settle for a “to be proven” hire. What I am saying is questioning “who we gonna get”, like a change isn’t happening, is irrelevant. The question is who, not if.
Anyone acting like they know what to do Anyone acting like they know what to do is full of shit shit. Spin that little wheel and see where it lands and hope for the best.
Not a Kiffen supporter at all, He has shown how he will up and leave without warning. I do not want to see him near the Gator program.
Once upon a time promoting the return of UM or hiring Kiffin used to almost get your posts deleted on this board. Man, look how far we’ve come.
Urban was the perfect coach at the perfect time for UF. I thank him for the two Nattys. But that time has come and gone. Time to find someone else.
I’d rather a guy who will up and leave because of success than a guy we have to fire because he sucks
Id rather be rubbing it in to another team but what the hell there is no lower rung on the ladder these days...I guess it's part of coping until the new coach arrives. Sad but true.
This. That's why he said he's not coming back if you just listen to him. He's talking about himself, not just Mullen or Napier. Meyer's style is not the portal. He loves to build a team and watch them grow every year. Those days are gone. Very few teams will keep the majority of their team year after year and even they lose a ton of players to the portal requiring them to poach a few every year to fill gaps.
I wonder if he might have more interest in the AD position. He most definitely has an eye for talent and that is very important in that position. It would be a new type of challenge for him. He certainly is familiar with the culture at Florida.
