Won at all 3, so clearly, he knows how to put together a staff.

Does a top notch offensive coordinator, change things?

I’d prefer that we do NOT hire another coach with ZERO experience/success at the top level of college football AGAIN. We want to contend for a spot in the Playoff then we need to ACT like we belong there and stop hiring like we are a directional school. Look at the names in the Top 10 or 20 schools and think about where their coaches came from. IF they hire someone from a school like Cincinnati or Utah or Duke or another school of that caliber (yes, such as UCF) it’s because that coach didn’t perform, they outperformed, they put their team in the Top 10 and they upset better teams, not because they did a decent job at Colorado State.

Problem is it is industry standard to have these (stupid) buyouts in college contracts. You won’t get any coach who is currently under contract with a large buyout for being fired to enter into a new contract without a buyout. Sucks

Those “desperate” guys in powder blue/white/red look pretty darn good compared to the Florida Gators right now.

    Absolutely
Absolutely describes my feelings! Much of the communication was filtered out and was greatly misleading. However, Nick de la torre deserves credit for questioning whether the right side of the OL was fixed! I'm no expert, but I understand the five have to play as one. The OL was only part of the issue, as both sides of the ball were exposed.Execution is still not happening, and the players can only be blamed for that so long. The press conference was very disturbing to me. Napier did not make excuses but neither did he seem to know what was the problem. I like Billy as a person, but as a coach, he looked like a deer in the headlights.

Then anyone's wife. Just saying that there is a draw to live in Florida that isn't about the program or the school. Especially if you are making many millions of dollars.

Our issue is we give big buy outs to unproven guys. If you hire a stud you give them the buy out

I do live here and have for the past 20 years. While it’s far from perfect, it’s not nearly as bad as many posters are making it out to be. I see no way in hell Kiffin winds up here. Just my own humble opinion.

He’s got a good paycheck by hc standard and low expectations. He can colllect that check for as many years as he likes. He probably has that itch though if Florida prom things that piss can’t or won’t.

    Peter Principle applies.

See SOS at Washington, Saban at Miami, or Holtz at New York. Among many others.
