— Looking at that picture, I’ll bet Sgt. Hoovers family is furious at Trump. How can he give a thumbs up and be so disrespectful at the gravesite? I wonder what Sgt. Hoover’s dad Darren would say? Let’s see. "In keeping with the reverence and respect that is given to all members of our military that are buried there, we invited President Trump," Hoover said. "We are the ones that asked for the video and the pictures to be taken at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier." Oh wait, the Hoovers wanted him there and wanted the picture taken. Well, Trump should have told them no as lefties on an internet message board would be whining if he took a picture. He should have ignored the victims families as Kamala is so good at. Great idea!
In this post, the feelings of one parent supersede the rules of decorum at ANC set by the armed forces. Because I'm sure all relatives of KIA veterans approve of Donald Trump leering like a ghoul at a gravesite, for political purposes.
And does Sgt Hoover's family speak for all families, friends, and soldiers who have loved ones buried in Section 60? If not, then Trump and the Hoovers should have respected their wishes too, and the rules/laws of the cemetery.
I honestly think sarcasm is no longer enough, and they should be referred to as the "pro-crime party." They did nominate a felon....
The Trump campaign should fully admit which staff member(s) shoved aside an ANC employee and APOLOGIZE. Trump claims he knows nothing about it, yet he was there. If Trump cannot control his own campaign, or its staff, why in the world would he be trusted with ANY responsibilities of our government? There is just no excuse for this bullying behavior and abject denialism.
Actually on that note: I was recently at the beach in NC. I saw a campaign sign with Trump's mugshot, which read "This household is voting for the felon in 2024." So at least some of them own it. (true story)
I saw a lady driving a shitty old Buick the other day with a sticker on the bumper that just said “DEPLORABLE” in big block letters. Just had to laugh.
Trump had permission for photos at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier only, NOT at any/all gravesite area. These are two distinct areas at ANC -- and getting from the Memorial area over to Section 60 is either a 1/3 (approx) mile walk, or a several mile drive around the cemetery perimeter. I've never witnessed anyone at a military cemetery PAYING THEIR RESPECTS with big grins and hand gestures.
I saw a sign today that said “Yard Sale - Trump items”. I thought to myself “what a timeline we are living in” that somebody actually had a whole collection of “Trump items” in their home. I was halfway tempted to take a detour to see this “collection” that warranted a mention at a yard sale lol. On the other hand maybe it’s a sign somebody broke out of the cult so might not be a bad thing.
Could be some astounding things in there. Bobblehead? Trump board game? Who knows what those people would collect...
I find it very unfortunate that the Gold Star families at ANC with Trump the other day appear to be oblivious to the likelihood that if Trump hadn’t cut the absurd agreement that he entered into with the Taliban in 2020, their deceased family members would be alive today.
These posts are getting more and more pathetic. ANS has rules, ANS is also governed by federal regulation. Trump's party broke two of them and apparently got physical with a staff member. With all due respect to the Hoovers, their wishes don't supersede those rules and regulations along with the wishes of all the other families. They weren't at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, they were at Section 60, which has different regulations. If you can't follow this, what's left of your moral compass requires serious recalibration. Apparently it is a "lefty" thing to obey rules and regulations and have some sense of decency as opposed to your grinning, thumbs up, rapist.
Must watch. A veteran Marine sergeant and Gold Star Widow has some choice comments for Corporal JD Vance about Trump's disrespectful ANS political stunt. The posters trying to defend this crap might learn a thing or two about honor and respect...doubtful, but possible.
MAGA members blame Harris...shocking right? Being a family member of a dead service member doesn't grant someone omnipotence or put their opinions above others like the Sec of the Army or the general in charge of CENTCOMM
