They also have these reports every time they have a decent win. I don't think this was a quality win.

Our defense hasn't been good either. If we want to be a top 10 team, we need to be much better on both sides of the ball. A new OC only fixes half the problem.

The defense hasn't been good since Greenard went pro. Not a lick of pressure since. The last time the Gators played three ACC teams in a season it posted 29 sacks in those games. 10,9,10.

Yeah, but their record and supposed quality was due to the fact that they played in the All Cupcake Conference.

Oh wait. There WAS that head-to-head thingy at The Swamp. That was what we were told and what we were led to believe. We continue to believe that ACC teams are simply inherently weaker than those in the SEC...

This seems unlikely. The Florida mascots use the visitors' tunnel in the corner of the south endzone. The coaches and the players, of course, use the tunnel in the center of the endzone.

Not really. They all had solid defenses. Indeed, Spurrier 's offense was often mediocre at USCe, but he had great defenses and adjusted accordingly. His ability to adjust his style to a defense-dominant coach was a tremendous tribute to his skills as a head coach. He didn't always need a high powered offense to win.

I’m Strickland and I quit, I don’t get fired. This guy is in trouble. Basketball on the other hand seems like it’s on his way up and is like 20% of his job performance so he has something to grasp on to maybe

Wasn’t that the weirdest shit watching Spurrier win with defense? It’s pretty easy to sit here as a fan and second-guess everything but would you tell spurrier you don’t know shit about offense?

It's not that he didn't know. SOS simply (but never simple) knew the defense was far and away the strength of his team, and he was able to adjust with it. Like Shula and Bryant, Spurrier was able to completely adjust his style and STILL win. We aren't talking about Mike Leach or Hal Mumme and their all or nothing offensive approach. His was the highest accolade a coach could have.

"He could take his and beat yours, or he could take yours and beat his."
