Watching this Notre Dame and Texas A&M game makes me realize just how slow our defense really was today. I said this before, and it still holds true... I don't like the NFL type coaches... coaching our Gators' football team. If they went from college to the NFL and back, that seems to be okay some of the time, but I have yet to see the GATORS get an NFL first coach come into Gainesville and do a damned bit of good thing, maybe we had one or two, but I can't remember their names... The NFL is slow and lazy and, much of that is coaching and the slowazz system they teach.
It's really hard to tell if they're actually good. To me both A&M and ND look mediocre. With that said we're not even mediocre, so ..

They tackle, press the line hard and play sound defense...their O line has been solid and some aggressive play calls. All of these are concepts Ive not seen in ages.
I don't think the calm CEO works in college. CFB is great because of the passion. Maybe it's my ape brain, but seeing him just stand there with no emotion just triggers me to no end.

I give us a 30% chance 1-1 vs UT and UK…. 35% chance Then he has to win 1 between UGA, Texas, LSU, Ole Miss and FSU to get to 5. I give that a 50% chance That gets us to 5. I’m not sure if that’s good enough. Winning 2 in the last slate is maybe a 25% chance? The team has to take a massive step further for him to have a shot at keeping this job
No, that makes perfect sense. We need a coach that at least gives somewhat loud positive vibes on the sideline, not some of dried up version of Tom Landry from those old Cowboys days.
Let's be fair, Miami may win the ACC this year. I'm not saying they're a top 5 team now, but who else in that conference looks better than them? Surely not Clemson or FSU so far.
People were on drugs to think it'd be a cake walk today. They have two good (way better than ours) lines, a veteran QB who's thrown for like 7000 yds and some good portal guys. That said, Billy should be fired solely for not hiring an OC and allowing 2 O-line coaches to basically steal from UF.
I don’t think that’s a serious possibility. I think now it’s just a question of going through the motions so we don’t look too trigger happy to fire another coach. So we’re all just waiting on Napier to hang himself with something inexcusable like another loss to Kentucky or laying an egg vs. UCF.
Last month, big money donors said “We won’t donate anymore $ to any candidate as long as Bob Peters remained in the race. And what do you think happened? Bob Peters got the Julius Caesar treatment as all his former political friends shoved him in the back and pressured him to retire. So it will take all the big gator money boosters to put pressure on SS and the temp administration to get rid of our coach “Bob Peters”. That was done with Jimboob at A&M and was what happened with Mullen, Mac and Champ.
We'll see just how good they are, when the teams they play see exactly what we did wrong in this game, before they play Miami.
