Wow, when I lived in the Bay Area Union Square was an upscale area. I wonder if the area has gone downhill or if the criminals are just getting bolder.
Union Square has seen a major decline over the past several years. Several major retailers have closed their stores as well as hotels.
That entire city has been a chithole for years. As another poster mentioned, businesses have been moving out of that exact area for quite some time, and to think that's one of the nice areas ...

Crazy! You would not have thought that after seeing the video of him walking and the paramedics not rushing to stop the bleeding. That video appears to show blood on his right pec and a bandage under his right arm/armpit area.
