Lagway is likely the same or worse…..but there is a CHANCE you catch lightning

Lagway at least poses a threat to run the ball. With our horrendous OL, I think we need a mobile qb

Which drive? First two drives were against starters. I left the game after his scoring drive.

 

His scoring drive was against first team.

 

Doesn't matter to who the QB is if the same person is calling plays.

 

If you can keep Langway without starting him this year, I say let him develop. Why risk him right now. If he is going to transfer or if recruits will shy away if he doesn’t start then you have to start him. That’s the controversy. QB play wasn’t the reason we lost today.

 

Never was so wrong about a team
I really thought we were much better. Saw 9-10 wins love the portal players. Returning QB, Tail back, top WRs back.
Saw the same Routes same running plays.
OL was OK, but overpowered to much.
Martz worst game as a Gator no answer to that. Just simple pass routes easy to cover.
This one hurt ,Saw no improvement from last year.
I can't believe we have fallen this far. Love the Gators won't quit on them but this one hurt

If Lagway is the type of palyer that makes Billy's scheme work, he has to play because otherwise the scheme will change with the new head coach.

 

No slight. It was late in the game and UM was up by more than 2 scores. They were not playing all their starters. They were working back ups into the game.

 

Lagway is a dual qb and is more apt to lead the offense when our OL is below average.
Mertz is a dink and dunk qb, nothing more.

Question is, does it really matter when both sides of the ball are bad. We are often out muscled on both sides of the ball. That isn't going to change. And on D, there is zero push, zero penetration, and even when we blitz we can't get to the qb. We will face a lot of capable qb's that will have Heisman outings against us. So, does it really matter who plays qb? And if BN remains the play caller, we may fail to score which could go on BN's resume.

 

Wrong. They had 2 backups in on Lagway’s first drive and they were only rotating in. They were playing all their starters. Stop making crap up it’s a scummy quality. Understood?

 

I do not think it matters much. Both are going to get killed behind that line and you could literally ruin DJ in the process with the ineptitude of this offensem
